So, I'm 40 weeks pregnant and the sickness is LONG gone so I can laugh about it now. Embarrassing sickness #1..in heron buying some ginger biscuits thinking it would help with nausea!! Started feeling like I was gonna faint halfway round, got to the till after standing in a long que, had to crouch on the floor to bag my shopping as standing was no longer an option, in my most lady like manner I shouted BIN at the cashier and proceeded to hurl violently infront of some horrified customers :-D. #2 walking to work at 7 in the morning just after new year, got halfway to work and that was it! Sat on the edge of the curb dry heaving! Passers by must have thought I was hungover, proceeded to ring boyfriend who came to the rescue with digestive biscuits.
Anyone else in public?

Not vomiting but in early pregnancy with both dc had many fainting/dizzy spells. Had to lie down in an alley way in the middle of a touristy town ( mustve looked like a drunk at 11am in the morning) and sit on a mannequin display in the middle of a city centre M&S being brought water by in earned staff. Both times didn't 'look' pregnant so was even more highly embarrassed!

GoshAnneGorilla · 31/05/2013 04:30

The other day I walked round the corner, the wind blew in my face and for some reason that made me feel sick. Confused

MyShoofly · 31/05/2013 05:21

With DS1 I once threw up on my lap on the way to work. I was in the middle of an intersection turning left - it's not like I could just pull over Blush

in fairness I threw up every place with DS1 though...hyperemesis is no fun

chickensaladagain · 31/05/2013 05:30

I threw up in the gutter in a very big student area -I was 24 and looked much younger so got plenty of Hmm faces

I also threw up in morrisons down the wine aisle -fortunately I had a bag in my pocket which I whipped out just in time

I took to taking an ice cream tub in the car and threw up at light on mor than one occasions with drivers at the side of me looking horrified

Early pregnancy was the best diet I have ever been on

beth27123 · 31/05/2013 06:25

I passed out in McDonald's...does that count? They were taking ages to put cheese on my burger and I felt so sick I just blacked out. Got me a free drink though...

joanna1990marie · 31/05/2013 07:46

Hehe I'm so glad it wasn't just me, and it's worse in the beginning when you aren't showing! And goshanne it's bad when you cant go out for fear of the wind! Lol.

I walked out of a fancy restaurant and vommed in the gutter. Poor restaurant, everyone around me looked horrified that their food had had such a violent, immediate effect on me.

I was also a regular outside Liverpool street station in London, throwing up on my way to work. On one occasion a lovely woman asked if I could help (everyone else kept their distance) - I handed her a fistful of coins and asked her to buy me coke and crisps from nearest shop. She was my hero!

notso · 31/05/2013 08:09

In Disneyland Paris after going on it's a small world, was sick the minute I stepped off. People were smirking obviously thinking I couldn't handle the 'thrills and spills' of such a lame ride. Grin

Was also sick in the Lucky Dip bin at DC's school fair as the smell from the hot dog van hit me!
I made a large donation to the school funds Blush

PumpkinPie2013 · 31/05/2013 08:56

I'm 14 weeks now and thankfully sickness is easing!

However, I've had some horrible moments in public with being sick!

In the lakes with my husband - he had to do an emergency stop so I could get out and be violently sick at the side of the road with loads of cars going past Blush Later that same day I chucked in the street in Keswick Blush

Tesco was always bad - think it was the smell of the cooked chicken counter that did it but I left quickly and was sick outside the foyer!!!!

Had another one just now! Arrived at work in my car, got out and threw up all over the street! Hadn't even felt sick leading up to it. I'm guessing yogurt before setting off was a bad idea Confused

AbiElizabeth · 31/05/2013 08:59

in tescos all over the fresh cakes Blush I was fine one minute and then some woman's perfume caused me to spew like the girl from the exorcist. I also threw up in a changing room when I was trying on a dress Confused

Gonnabmummy · 31/05/2013 09:33

Ohh the road just before you enter onto the motorway millions of cars and I had to squeeze out of door very quick and scuttle to the verge! Blergh gregge sausage roll was at fault

Gonnabmummy · 31/05/2013 09:34

pumpkin do u live near near Keswick? This is where I was near to get onto m6 Blush

BabyHMummy · 31/05/2013 09:35

I held up a queue of traffic when I couldn't stop being sick at the traffic lights. Car was in muddle of road and everytime I took a breath or moved more came up. Was so embarrassed! Took 15 mins to be able to get out the car so dp could move it. Luckily I had managed to open the door before being sick

PumpkinPie2013 · 31/05/2013 09:40

Abi I think your Tesco vomiting beats mine!!!! Poor you!

Gonnabmummy No we don't live near Keswick but we go to the lakes on holiday quite a lot so it was when we went at Easter. It was really busy as well Blush

AbiElizabeth · 31/05/2013 09:50

haha thanks pumpkin my OH found it hilarious and I just stood there not knowing what to do. Luckily the staff were fine about it and didn't make me pay for the cakes!

FortyFacedFuckers · 31/05/2013 09:52

I was sick throughout my full pregnancy so I have a variety of stories which include throwing up daily on the hour long bus journey to work, throwing up in morrisons, having to stop on the hard shoulder and throwing up at the side of the motorway, throwing up in church at a wedding throwing up at the doors of a very fancy restaurant and many many more. Oh and the reception desk of a Hilton. Blush

neversleepagain · 31/05/2013 09:55

In the hospital car park, very discreetly near the shampoos in Sainsbury's. Thankfully the other times were all at home.

MrsSchadenfreude · 31/05/2013 09:59

In a meeting, when I was speaking. No warning at all. Suddenly had a mouth full of sick and it was dribbling out of my nose too. The others round the table looked most alarmed. Grin

Always in the gutter on the way to work. Looked like some old lush who'd had a skinful the night before.

HappyHippyChick · 31/05/2013 10:06

I was packed like sardines on the Waterloo and City line one morning and thought I was going to hurl on the people around me. Luckily it's only a short journey and I managed to get off and throw up all over the platform. A lovely woman stopped to help and the guard was really nice about cleaning it up as well Blush

Bejeena · 31/05/2013 10:23

IN the office I really honestly thought I was going to have to throw up in my waste paper bin as wouldn't have made it to the loos. Luckily I did tend to find the need to vomit eased sometimes with a few deep breaths and on this occasion it did. Was a close shave though.

Bex89 · 31/05/2013 10:48

Having a hour and a half bus journey to work every day gave me some moments that... I will never forget :) I mastered the art of siting at the back with a plastic bag and throwing up. My worst nightmare were ladies with strong perfume.. That set me right off. Sometimes I was lucky and could hold off, I'd run through debenhams hoping to make it to work, then I would projectile vomit on the floor.. The humiliation lol.
I've had sickness the whole way through so far, it's calmed a bit but I'm dreaming of the day when I'm not sick after eating ANYTHING in the morning.

elliejjtiny · 31/05/2013 11:33

I've had horrendous sickness but luckily always get some warning so I always made it to the loo. We went on holiday at 6 weeks with DS2 and at one point I had to shout "stop the car", rush across the road, into a pub and through the bar to the loo. Thankfully the toilet was very well signposted. If I'd had to have that conversation where you ask where the loo is and they say you have to buy a drink I would never had made it. With DC4 we didn't tell anyone until 16 weeks so had to throw up very quietly in PIL's loo a few times so they wouldn't guess.

Futterby · 31/05/2013 12:03

In my college class on my desk during a major exam. Lecturer was not impressed!

Also a few times in the middle of the street :p

Steffanoid · 31/05/2013 12:18

on the way to tge car from work, incidentally I was going home because I hadn't stopped throwing up all morning and night before! it was over winter so it ended up in a bush, all over my scarf and I think my toes!!

Usually when I got back to the car as well, I think because of the temp difference when I sat down in the car it hit me and I was throwing up outside some random office on our business park!

Other than that I managed to get to the toilets, running past various managers looking at me like Hmm I work in a call centre and trying to get a customer off the phone while holding the urge to vom down is a skill I now posess!

AbiElizabeth · 31/05/2013 12:26

I have just got back from town to go pick up a present for my friend's birthday party later. I had to come back without buying a present as I threw up all over a poor old man. I was happily sitting sipping some orange juice and having a rest and he walked past me more of a shuffle and his man perfume or whatever it's called caused me to instantly spew orange juice all over him. He just stood there dripping and I sat there like [shocked] He shuffled off muttering about young'uns and their drinking habits Hmm
