pregnancy bleed

I took a pregnancy test on Sunday morning (the day my period was due) and it came up positive (clearblue digital - 1-2 weeks). I did another one on Tuesday night to be sure and that also came up the same. However on Wednesday evening I started bleeding and have what feels like period cramps. The bleeding is like my normal period. Does anyone know is it likely that Im not pregnant and when is it okay to do another test to make sure? Should I wait a few days before testing again?

I would leave it a few days and test again. It could possibly be a chemical pregnancy (I had one last year) but then bleeding can also be common in early pregnancy. I found out I was pregnant on Saturday then had a light bleed on Saturday but my test lines have been getting stronger and stronger so I'm confident I'm ok. There's no point saying don't worry as you will. I hope it works out ok for you

In all honesty, it really could be either I'm afraid. Sorry, not trying to be negative, but it will be a case of wait and see :(
Either the bleeding will carry on, like a normal period, which sounds like a chemical pregnancy. Or it will stop/be intermittent/not as strong and you could still be pregnant.

One way of checking is testing again in a few days, although bear in mind that the hormones hang around for a little while. I think when I had a chemical pregnancy was showing as negative again a week later.
The other thing you could do is go to your doctor and get them to test hormone levels. This will need to be 2 days apart (so still waiting I'm afraid) but it will give you a good indication of whether the pregnancy is progressing.

Me again! I did a test on Thursday which came back negative but I've stopped bleeding. My period only lasted one day! If test now says negative does this mean I'm definitely not pregnant? My period is normally light but usually lasts about 4-5 days. I'm confused!!
