Am hopefully worrying about nothing but I don't feel *right*...

Am around 10 weeks pg. Had a missed mc in March which was diagnosed at my 12 week scan.
This time I've had one scan already where everything was fine and I have my dating scan on Tuesday.
But last night I started feeling this slight tugging feeling on my righthand side, by my abdomen and today I've been getting little ripples of feeling (pain is too strong a word) passing down where I imagine my ovaries to be. I also have a slightly naggy backache. I'm pretty sure I had all these symptoms before I miscarried and feel really overemotional today and worrying that I'm on the brink of miscarrying again.
I can't see any point in phoning midwife as I doubt she'll be able to get me in for a scan earlier on Tuesday.
God, I hope this is nothing. Maybe I'll go to bed.

Cupcakes - Poor you I know what the worry is like as I had a missed m/c and am now 24 weeks pregnant and still have worry!

I would say that if your last scan was ok then the chances are very slim something is wrong now, its sounnds more like things are just stretching inside.
I think you are just worrying because of past experience.
Once a heartbeat is found in an early scan then the chances of m/c fall dramatically.
Have a lie down, relax a bit and try and get through the weekend until your scan on Tuesday.

Cupcakes - yes I was told that at my early scan.
Go have a lie down and concentrate on the good stats and that the chances are very high all is ok.

cupcakes, are you in London? There is a walk-in EPU at St Thomas' Hospital where you don't need a referral.
So sorry you are feeling down. Pregnancy after a m/c can be very fraught - and I found real angst always surfaced over a bank holiday etc weekend when I knew I wouldn't be able to call a m/w or see a doctor for several days.
Best of luck - as Bella says, statistically speaking, once an early scan shows a heartbeat you are much less likely to have a m/c afterwards

EPU at St Thomas' used to be only open in the mornings, so would need to go now, but the staff there were lovely - I felt like I lived there sometimes when I was pg with DS1 and 2 (heavy bleeding/threatened mcs throughout pgs) I think most teaching hospitals have them though, I know St George's in Tooting has one too (been there as well!) so maybe check out your local teaching hospital?

For what it's worth when I was pg with DD after a mc I swear I felt a million times more aches and twinges than I did with the DSs ones. I was very paranoid until about 20 weeks, when I had the big scan and started feeling her moving about. I think once you've had one set of problems you can become very focussed on anything that could be another problem iyswim. Anyway hope everything settles down soon, and gives you a bit more peace of mind!

Thank you so much for all your posts. I've just had a sleep and am feeling better. Twingy pain seems to have abated although still have niggly back.
We live in Norfolk and I'm pretty sure the hospital in Norwich doesn't have a walk in option. I know when I thought something was wrong last time (just before I did miscarry) it took a while to arrange a scan.
Am just going to try and put it to the back of my mind.

I am sure twinges are awfully common around 10-12 weeks as your womb starts to stretch more.

Cupcakes, the N&N will see you and scan you if you have a referral from GP or midwife. In my last pregnancy I thought I was miscarrying and they were scanning after I called on call GP. He referred me straight away. My midwife then said later if I had called her she would have had me in straight away.

cupcakes, I called my doc on Saturday because I was having terrible cramps. She said the same thing that Bella said, as far as having already had a good early scan, it was more likely a tummy bug than m/c. I took pepto bismol (which she recommended) and felt better in about an hour.

I had 4 previous mc's (including a missed mc last year) and vowed not to get my hopes up with this pg. I bled for 26 days out of 30, clotted, cramped, bent double in pain, flooded you name it. Seriously mega heavy too. Turned out to be excess womb lining that needed to be shed.
With the missed mc, looking back all the signs were there I just did'nt notice them. Bump & boobs shrinking, not feeling pg anymore etc.
I've had alot of weird pains with this pg to ranging from mild twinges to backache to full blown contraction-type pains. All apparently are normal.
As Bella said, the risk of mc falls (I think by more than 50%) as soon as you hear the heartbeat. Any worries, chat to your mw or EPU. They won't mind you being worried, it's totally understandable after what you've been through recently.
Hope it's eased off for you.

Thanks for your support - it's very comforting.
HellKat, I had the same thing with decreasing bump when I had the missed mc. I am still getting bates of nausea and I'm pretty sure my bump is still there - it's really big and round in the evenings but less so in the morning so I feel reassured when I got to bed.
jabberwocky - sorry to hear you've had worries too. Am glad it was nothing serious.

Good luck, I had lots of twinges at the 10-12 wks stage and was reassured that it was just the uterus and ligaments stretching. But was even more reassured by getting a scan at my hospital's EPU which has an open door policy for anxious mums who've had previous m/cs.

Just to let you know I had my scan this morning and all seemed well. I cried when she said she could see the heartbeat. Due date is 21st December.
I saw a consultant afterwards and told her about the twingy pains and she said these pains were normal in pg but were also found pre-miscarriage.
