Hi all

I am 33 weeks. Weighed myself today and I have gained 3 stone! Gone from 9 and a half to 12 and a half. I know it doesn't matter really but people have been telling me all day how big I am and I feel like s*it Sad. Just letting off steam, feel free to ignore me Smile

Eat fairly sensibly but don't weigh yourself is my advice. I put on nearly 4 stone by the very end of my first pg but was 7 pounds lighter than pre preg weight after a few months. Am fatting up again at 17 weeks with second pg - I have the odd OMG moment and you can always find someone that didn't put on a pound until 30 weeks, but it isn't a competition! As long as you aren't eating a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts a day it isn't worth thinking about.

I put on 2 stone during pregnancy and by 1 week after the birth had lost 3! I have since lost an additional 1 stone and I still don't fit into my pre pregnancy clothes!! I think the trick (she says) is to try and tone up post baby.

Some really kind words and good advice here. Thanks everyone Smile. I am still feeling a bit down but am trying to use my common sense. I am big because I am having a baby.

it's not just the baby. I was shocked after my birth how enormous the placenta is! And all the water, both amniotic and general puffing up. ANd you have extra blood, even, when pregnant.

I put on 4 stone last time and had lost 2 of that by a week post birth. I lsot the other 2 by 8 months ish. This time I am 38.5 weeks and have put on 2.5 stone, don't know how, haven't done anything different.

It is what it is. Wait till your 6 week post birth check then start thinking about it :)
