Hoping to, but have so long to wait it's depressing. I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and have my 20 week scan at 22+1! Dying of curiosity.

Smilehappy · 25/05/2013 22:10

I couldn't contain myself had to book a private, the whole experience is amazing in private, big screens etc, have you ever thought of that option?

Congratulations!! ThanksThanks

Smile would you mind if I asked where you went and how much it was?

KirjavaTheCat · 25/05/2013 22:13

OH won't agree! Says that the £80 we'd spend on a scan could buy the baby tons of stuff. He is right, but then he's patient unlike me. I'll just obsess over the nub theory until then... Thank you, you too! Thanks

Fatty, I'm in Scotland and went to an independent one called Babes in the Womb! Amazing people, it's a small independent one but been there for nearly 10 years - but my good friend went to ultrasound- direct .com which have lots of establishments across uk, it was £75 for mines, I received multiple photographs and a its a boy frame! Very delighted with the service we received!

Boy here too 26+4 with first :D
Congrats everyone Thanks

hartmel · 26/05/2013 03:45

Smilehappy - yes it is my first one.. So far pregnancy is going good. I'm on sick leave since 20 weeks (25 weeks now) due to round ligament pain. I'm a customer service rep. And it is not easy job when you are pregnant..

Yes we actually had a name picked out already before I got pregnant. I know weird. :-) his name will be Samuel (but we will call him Sam)

What about you? Your first one? Do you have name?

FattyMcChubster · 26/05/2013 03:52

Thank you smile and congratulations! Thanks

LuckySocks13 · 26/05/2013 07:48

I didn't find out with DS but had a private internal 12 week scan and they were able to tell me! Will see if they are right I guess!

LuckySocks13 · 26/05/2013 07:48

that's meant to read that this time (I'm 14 weeks now!)

Smilehappy · 26/05/2013 10:43

Hartmel- yeah pretty tiring job while pregnant! Do you think you will be going back, can't they arrange any adjustments for you?
I went to Spain in my first trimester was pretty waste tbh, I was very ill but since 12 weeks everything has gone great... Long may it last

This is my second, DS Is 4,

OH likes Brody but when telling close family what he likes they all are a bit Hmm saying its a girls name... Confused So not sure anymore.. Don't think we will be sharing anymore ideas! Wink

Samuel is lovely! My godson is named Samuel SmileSmile

Lucky- let's hope they're correct!? I'm guessing you may have bought blue etc for this one? I think finding out helps you be more prepared, my Sister didn't find out but in later stages was gutted as she was sick of neutral colours! Hmm

I'm having a boy, I love the idea of having two boys. DH is one of 3 and warns me we'll be in A&E every weekend like his mother after weekend rugby matches, scraps and so on. Fun times :)

Smilehappy · 26/05/2013 11:12

Haha Grin it will be fun and games for us!

My DS is very excited he's getting a brother! I think it will be easier for growing up too, we have a 2bed just now and didn't want to have to move so glad they can share a room toys etc... Very exciting!

Do you have any names picked yet?

CongratulationsThanksThanks

I am 17 weeks today and today found out we are having a boy too! Also DS2!

We haven't told anyone yet, not sure whether to just wait til they ask or do a big announcement. We didn't find out with DS1 so this is all new. What are you doing?

We told family together and close friends basically straight after (couldn't contain ourselves!) lol and told everyone else via Facebook :-) nice announcement ! I've ran out of people to tell!

Smilehappy · 26/05/2013 22:33

Congrats fairy!!

Arthur is lovely! I hate people giving unwanted opinions on your chosen or thought-about names, we like Bordy/Brodie for our boy but OH family are also a bitHmm
Sad
