sharp pains down below

im 26 weeks pregnant and getting some nasty pains down there. they come and go in seconds but are sharp
normal or not ?

Are the pains like a knife pain, very sharp? That is what I had and the midwife said they were caused by pelvic nerve endings being pressed on by baby. I was worried about them.

I think you can get a lot of niggly pains in pregnancy and I wasn't really prepared for that! I was ready for every other symptom but not the sharp pains. I posted on here about it early on in my pg and had some sound advice with people saying they had had similar and not to worry.

Saying that I think you should ask/ always talk to your midwife and give them details as much as possible when something is worrying you, no matter how big or small you think it might be. Can you telephone her? Hope pain eases up for you.

I've had those everyday from day one! I believe they're called 'lightening crotch'
Not very nice though, but nothing to worry about.
