22 weeks first time mum wanting to know if what im feeling is the norm

Hey ladies!!

23 weeks on sunday and im showing nicely, had my 20 weeks scan and im having a beautiful boy :) over the moon. Ive been feeling/also seeong lovely kicks and wriggles. But.. Im still having aches.. Not pain as such like niggles in my lower tummy sometimes alot like ive pulled sonething its on and off. Ive heard its prob round ligament.. Seeing as ive blossomed a fair bit in the past month. I dont want to annoy my midwife by bombarding her with quesions.
Theres alot of movement all the time that both me and my oartner feel now. Just wondering is it like that as were all growing?

No expert, first pregnancy here - but yes, loads of aches twinges and stretchy pulling feelings - I asked MW and she said it was fine. Ring up and ask if you are concerned though.

I'm almost thirteen weeks and I know the exact feeling you're talking about. Normal, ligament rain :) don't worry about it but if you get worried, call your mw and ask. That's what they're there for!

Yup, all normal if you feel them more in your back though and need to pee more, might be a urine infection, but weird strained feeling or sudden sharp stabs are likely to be normal round ligament pain.

Thankyou ladies! I phoned my MW today and told her and shes very positive its normal.
BoraBora yes sudden twinges and sharp stabs if ive moved to quickly or turned to quick in bed. They make me jump, very excited but extremely cautious as i only know so much from being told and reading up on. Obv every woman is different i know baby is pretty safe in there :) very odd and amazing what your body goes through and cope with.

Also. How is everyones pregnancy going? First time mums? Or second poss third. I find chatting to you lovelies helps me stay sane and not think silly.
Im 24 and sometimes literally have to give my head a wobble :D

First timer here - have found it hard going as have SPD but other than that not been too bad. Worst thing has been SPD, getting so big so quick and the tiredness. Also my monkey kicks pretty hard - ok very hard - lol. Looking forward to the end now.

First time mum here :) struggling a bit tbh but getting there. I'm eighteen and burst into tears in front of my college lecturer today because I couldn't afford to photocopy some of my work.

Really excited though. So much so. Baby brain has struck and I've actually fed breadcrumbs to my fish instead of the birds.

I'm just rambling about nothing now! How's your pregnancy?

MrsSpagBol same really well the kicks are like huge thuds that make me jump. My little boy tends to wake up as i go to bed around 10pm.. And sometimes the kicks wake me. Beautiful really but not when im on an early shift walking like a zombie.

Aww Futterby i know how hard it can be.. But it will be totally worth it and with our hormones going bonkers at the minute tears will flow. I even cried making a cuppa. Silly woman! Im loving every min of my pregnancy, every wriggle and kick is a comfort. Remember though your not the only one to sometimes panic, worry uoset yourself. And i love this site it helps

Also another thing hip pain and cramp whilst sleeping anyone?
The joys of pregnancy, i wouldnt change it for the world!

Aw thank you :) yes yes yes lots of hip pain and leg/back cramp at night. My mw says it's normal but it's really sore.

YY to hip and cramp pains (see above re SPD). My whole hip area has given up the ghosts.

The kicks startle me so much !!!!

Sorry new to all the lingo MrsSpagBol bear with me :) its only just started with me. Hips can be very painful but ive found a nice warm bath and a good relaxing soak helps alot. Or even my partner just giving me a rub.

I love the kicks, but not when baby kicks down on my bladder :O i have to run to the loo as i think i may have an accident *ahem!
Make me giggle alot.
Futterby are you with bd?? And is college understanding and supportive?

We don't have a bath, all I want is a nice got bath :p yeah, he's my partner of four years and he tries his best but he doesn't quite "get" it, iyswim? College couldn't care less which is surprising because I'm studying nursing, thought they would understand a bit more. But oh well! :)

Futterby i thought they would of too. One thing that gets on my wick is ignorance nowdays.. You need thw support everyone does even if its just a moan of i dont feel upto much today or i feel horrible!

Aww he will soon get it, a great book for him to get if you can get him to peak is called 'hes having a baby' ita brilliant and explains plainly on what us mums to be go through and how were feeling and lets them know exactly. My partner has had a good read and he seems to understand alot more.
Where abouts are you from Pet?

Aww nooo! All good then :) had 3 already my last at 20 weeks saw everything my boy growing well healthy and strong. I cry at them best is hearing baby heartbeat around 16 weeks that is incredible! You have all this to come. You will love it :)

It's all normal in my experience, nearly 30 weeks with baby no.2

This time round it's a lot more painful and achy though! I am also triple the size this time...

Im all front app obv im not sure as its my first i call it my little football :) im sure we will get used to it. If not we'll just go with it. Reminds me of my boy everytime so ill keep smiling
