i have just found out i am pregnant with number 2 (very much wanted) but i'm really scared cos i'm getting achey period type pains and have had them for 2 days now, no blood loss or anything but just really worried that it could be ectopic or something else wrong. i never had this with my first pregnancy. i'm only 4 weeks, help!

I am also pregnant with no.2(10wks) a few weeks ago I also got quite a few achey pains which freaked me out. I asked the doctor and she said its only something to worry about if they get considerably worse.
hope this helps a bit.

I think I had these this time round with BabyDragon.

It's one of those things where only time will tell unfortunately.

I had these second time round too everything is amplified in subsequent pregnancies, I got Braxton hicks with the second too and never did with the first. Congratulations!

thanks ever so much you guys, i guess i will go see gp and see what they say. thanks for the reassuring words, will try and get gp appt tomorrow, even if there's nothing they can do. would they be able to do a scan and see if the embryo is in the uterus or not at this stage? are there any other tests i can ask for them to do?

hi there, they can do a scan to check for ectopic at this stage. Though I really shouldnt worry too much about it as the aches and pains youre describing are very commen at this stage, I had the same thing (esp when my period would have been due). If you were suffering an ectopic pgcy theni would imagine you would be in quite severe pain rather that period type aches as i remember my gp telling me that ectopics become noticablbly more painful quite quickly. I think theres other symptoms too.
See gp in the morn to get checked but please dont worry yourself too much allsorts can go through our minds when these thing happen.
Congrats on your news and i hope everything goes well for you.
