...how soon after did you go into labour and give birth?

Have a sweep booked for tomorrow morning and just wondering what other people's experiences have been. Will be 40+2 if that helps.

mine worked instantly
literally it was like someone flicking a switch
i had it done at about 11 or 12 and i was in full blown labour before i left the room. baby was then born 6 hours later.
they said to me 'well you are in labour , do you want to go home or stay?'

i said 'i've got to go home! i have got nothing with me and my mum thinks i am only going to be out an hour!' Grin

I had 5 sweeps all in all. None of them did anything. This time i will be refusing them!

I had one and went into labour about 15 hours later. Could have been coincidental.

It didn't hurt, more a feeling of discomfort. Felt a bit unnatural and weird but wasn't that bad. Especially when you compare it to what comes afterwards with childbirth :)
