Crib or Moses Basket? Or both!?

Can anyone advise please? Ideally i'd like to only have to buy one or the other but a few people have said that the crib was too big initially or that going for a moses basket direct to a cot is too big a jump! Gaaahh! What to do?

littlebells re the muddy wheels. I have the bugaboo cameleon, but I assume it's the same with all travel system. The carrycot bit comes out easily from the main chassis. I only take the carrycot into the house without the chassis.

I can park buggy in the hall and lift out carry cot. Due in just over three weeks so yep, summer baby in theory! It's good advice about getting hot, thanks.

Only 3 weeks to go! lovely times ahead Lorelei! Nothing like your first born! Do you know if it's a boy or girl, or are you having a surprise?

We have a crib - we didn't go for the moses basket as we have little dog. We went for the crib as I want to be able to move her about between our bedroom and the room next door (office/second living room/nursery hybrid!). Our kitchen is on the same level too - apartment - so it just made sense for us. Our crib is 90cm long andIi luffs it. I look at it and get misty eyed! - still 12 weeks to go! Grin

It's a surprise. Can't wait to find out now!

I borrowed a Moses basket, for the first 3-4 weeks DD would only sleep in bed with me, then for about 3-4 weeks she slept in the Moses basket and was sleeping in her cot bed from 7weeks, didn't have space in our room for a crib.
