Feeling extremely anxious about my scan today. Had a mmc last year and just so worried that it will be the same again. Couldn't sleep last night due to nerves :-(

I was exactly the same just before mine having had a mmc a few months earlier. It was fine and now 32 weeks.
Hope it all goes well!

Just wanted to say good luck- I haven't had a mmc experience but can imagine how nervous you must be. Let us know how it goes! Chances are, all will be fine.

janey1234 · 15/05/2013 09:02

I had a mmc at 12 weeks last time... Was shitting it really anxious this time. Anyway, all was fine and I too am now 32 weeks. I'm sure it will be fine. Once you've passed this stage I promise you'll be able to relax more - it does get easier! Good luck at let us know how you get on.

Forgetfulmog · 15/05/2013 09:05

Good luck OP. I had a mc at 6 weeks the year before my second pregnancy. I now have an 8 mo Smile.

I'm really hoping today goes well for you. I was terrified before each scan when I was preg, but I had a happy outcome. I hope you will too Smile

Just adding my support too. I had a MMC last year and I felt exactly the same at my 12 week scan, even though I'd had 3 or 4 scans prior to this and seen my little peanut. I was still convinced that they'd somehow got it wrong! Good luck and update us later Thanks

Good luck today Rtfairy! I totally sympathise - I've had 2 mmcs: my 1st and 3rd pregnancies. The 2nd one was successful and I'm now 16 weeks in my 4th; but with both of these I've had a couple of early scans which made it a bit easier, still I was terrified before my 12-week one. Chances are it will be fine!! Let us know how it goes!

TobyLerone · 15/05/2013 14:56

I hope it went well. It is very nerve wracking going back after a MMC.

Good luck ,hope it went well. I'm also so so nervous about my scan...have at least another 7 weeks to wait, its took us 5 years to get our BFP and terrified of bad news!! thinking of you...please let us know how it went Flowers

wifey6 · 15/05/2013 17:33

Hope all has gone well today OP.
I too had a MMC last April & found out at our 12 week scan. ??
We are currently 33 weeks pregnant & had a reassurance scan at 9 weeks & to say I was terrified was an understatement.
You are not alone in your fears.
I'm sure all will be fine.

Rtfairy · 15/05/2013 17:37

Great! Glad all is ok!

MotorcycleMama · 15/05/2013 17:52

Good news fairy , that is fantastic!
I had a mmc picked up my 12 week scan last time I got pregnant. I'm about to embark on IVF and already dread the thought of the 12 week scan, even before getting over the hurdle of actually conceiving! It is just so traumatic isn't it. I did wonder whether I might be able to keep my eyes closed until somebody can confirm that the baby is alive. Were people supportive and sensitive with you? I hope so.

Rtfairy · 15/05/2013 18:17

Thank you.

Motorcyclemama they were very lovely and sensitive thankfully. The sonographer told me very quickly there was a good heartbeat which I was grateful for. I hope everything works out well for you.
