Help! I'm spotting...17 weeks

Hi Ladies,

I really need some reassurance...I've just spoken to my doctor and told him that I found two tiny spots of blood on the toilet paper after I pee'd (sorry - tmi!) and he said I need a scan but can't arrange it today so I'll have to wait. I've had no tummy aches (apart from a bit of gas - again sorry! - and a few little kicks ☺) so the only worry I have is just the tiny little bit of red on the toilet paper.

The doctor just said that because I'm only 17 weeks if I was having a miscarriage there would be nothing they could do - but now I'm sitting at home alone (first pregnancy) freaking out!!!

I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced that? Anything I can do to put my mind at ease?

Thanks xx

My SIL had bleeding at 17ish weeks and is fine, she had to pay for a scan as couldn't get one on the NHS. The scan showed that she is having a healthy little boy :)

I had some spotting in this pregnancy at around that stage ( 34 weeks now) and my first ( have a 2yr old) and all has been well.
Lack of pain is a good sign I believe.
Hope you can get a reassurance scan soon - it is very worrying but lots of people have this and have healthy pregnancies.
Good luck
