Sinusitis - will GP give me antibiotics?

I'm not your normal drugseeker! Hate taking ABs but really at the end of my tether with sinusitis. Also feel a dick keep going to the GP with different things.

I've had it for months (35 weeks pg) and it just seems to be getting worse. I know it's a normal, if unpleasant, effect of the hormones but it's really getting me down.

Constant bad taste at the back of my mouth, sinus pain, headaches and a crawly feeling all over like a mild fever. Snot is a mixture of olive green and blood.

I've been holding back the worst of it with steam and nasal saline. Any other tips or do I need to go and see someone?

Go see your GP. They may give you Abx particularly if you've a bloody discharge. A lot of Abx are safe in pregnancy

I had sinusitis at the start of this pregnancy and I was given antibiotics. I still have a stuffy watery nose and weird headaches so it may just be something you will have to put up with until the end, but definitely go and see the doctor. Don't feel embarrassed for seeing a doctor for different things; it's their job to treat patients!

Thanks both. I just seem never to be away from the GP this time around. I will mention it at my appointment.

I'm sceptical because DH has bad sinuses and has been fobbed off a lot until a locum gave him four things to try all at once, three of which are not safe when pg.
