34 weeks PG with DS2 and baby is still transverse

At what point do I need to worry about his position?

He's been breech or transverse since 20 weeks and shows no signs of wanting to turn round. Am doing the hands/knees thing, bouncing on ball, catstretch with bum in the air every day! What else can I do to encourage him to flip over?
Am hoping for a planned homebirth so could really do with him playing by the rules :-)
DS1 was definitely head down (but not engaged) at this stage...

i wouldn't worry at all with a second pregnancy because they can turn right up to going into labor. have you looked at spinningbabies.com?

OK - thanks. That's reassuring - am just worried that we'll go ahead with the homebirth and he'll arrive feet first, or get stuck and there'll be complications. I've looked at that website - think I need to start doing the exercises more regularly!

DD2 was transverse until my waters broke. She came the usual way. I can understand you being worried if you're planning a homebirth though - how far are you from hospital if you do need to get there?

I'm about 20 minutes from a hospital....hmmm. Think will speak with MW at 36 wk appointment and get a scan if baby has not shifted round by then. Based on scan, can make more informed decisions about choices, I guess but as I understand it:
A breech/transverse baby rules out a HB (understandable I guess...)
Manual maneuvering of baby in utero has limited success
Breech babies at our PCT are recommended for CS
I can try acupuncture/moxibustion from 36 weeks
I should keep up the exercises, optimal baby positioning stuff etc.
