Ok I am 5+4 and ever since BFP (4+1)I have had a very windy butt (night &day). But it seems to be constant now. I feel like i am farting every few minutes.

  • Is this normal?
  • Did anyone else suffer from this much wind this early on?
  • And please someone tell me this will stop at some point?

Hi .. yes I had this very early on too but it stopped after about ten weeks

Lj8893 · 12/05/2013 15:56

Ha, yep this is normal, and I'm afraid it doesn't get better, I'm 16 weeks and just as bad as I was at 5 weeks!

I had actually never openly farted in front of my dp before now (apparently I went crazy when I was asleep though haha) but now im well and truly making up for it!

Pregnancy is the most unglamorous thing ever!

3MenAndMe · 12/05/2013 15:58

I was windy at the beginning, but more burpy....
Normal,will pass in few weeks....;)

LittlePeaPod · 12/05/2013 16:02

My DP is shocked as I too never farted but I just can't hold it in.... I have told him that its his fault (eg genes) because he has a terribly windy butt. Work is a nightmare as I sit there trying to quietly let them out.... Blush

Alot of the time I don't even get any warning they are coming, and they just come out and shock me!

alienbanana · 12/05/2013 16:14

Yes, are you burping yet?

It only gets worse... They get more frequent and much smellier.

Hth

:)

LittlePeaPod · 12/05/2013 16:16

Lj88 & alien you both just made me laugh out loud. No burping yet and yes sometimes they come out of no where. Not had many stinking ones yet.

And then you get past 30wks and they are huge and smelly and loud! Grin

LittlePeaPod · 12/05/2013 16:21

Brilliant.... So they get more frequent, louder and smellier week by week.. My DF will be truly thrilled. No one told me pregnancy was so labour ous. Grin

Thought this was just me. OH refuses to lie under the same blanket for risk of the smell...

LittlePeaPod · 12/05/2013 16:24

DF just kept saying oh my god, where is it all coming from.. Ha ha ha ha

OP posts:
Lj8893 · 12/05/2013 16:25

Dp just laughs and shakes his head at me and says "god, I must really love you because I still fancy you even when you do that"

Oh and the burps are just as bad!!!

You would think that the most natural "female" thing we do would be much more feminine than it really is!

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 12/05/2013 16:25

By about 36 weeks you will have no shame. Grin your dog will be embarrassed and scared of your farts. And people the other side of a shop will turn round when you accidentally burp. Blush

Luckily it all stops after baby is born and you can deny all knowledge until you're pg again. Wink

LittlePeaPod · 12/05/2013 16:27

Not started with burping yet.. Just farting every 4/5 minutes today.. Ha ha ha

riskit4abiskit · 12/05/2013 17:14

Try squatting down after your morning bath or shower for 5 mins, its surprising how much wind comes out, and then u can be wind free for oh all of 4 hours!

LittlePeaPod · 12/05/2013 17:18

Risk. Oh I would love for DF to walk in whilst I did that. He already thinks I am losing my marbles... Grin. Ha ha ha

Just go with it! We grade them Robot Wars style (style, control, damage and aggression) up to a maximum of 10 points. Mine, DH's, and also DC1's. We are particularly puerile though.

Bath farts = bonus points Grin

LittlePeaPod · 12/05/2013 17:27

I loveStacking. Ha ha ha.... Will suggest that to DF...

Dolallytats · 12/05/2013 17:31

Another one who doesn't fart in front of DH!! Apparently I went to town in my sleep and he had a quiet chuckle to himself. He didn't tell me I'd done it until I was telling him how windy I felt because he knew I would be mortified!!

Apparently I have been snoring like a walrus for several weeks, but he won't wake me up, he just gets the spare bed out!!

miffybun73 · 12/05/2013 17:32

Yes, normal - I had that too.

hartmel · 12/05/2013 20:25

This post just made my day.. GrinSmile

I laughed so hard, that DH said "it is good to see you laugh so hard.."

I'm 23 weeks now and the worse part is when you go shopping and with every step you make a little bit wind comes out..

LittlePeaPod · 13/05/2013 21:06

Hartmel that cracked me up..... Grin

So today I get in the light at work. In the safe knowledge (or so I thought) that no one else was getting in. Let out a big one and quite potent may I add. Lifts closing. Yes you know what's coming! Someone gets to the lift just before it closes. 4 men from the floor above..... I just wanted the ground to open up and swallow me. God knows what they said when I walked out..... Blush

Lesson of the day... Best save it till you get to the loo
