Hi ladies. just wondering if anyone has moved during pregnancy? I'll be having my booking app and 12 weeks scan here and then moving a month after that. I don't really know how to go about transferring my antenatal care to our future location? Thanks

Hi, i moved into a new area when i was 16 weeks so had already had 12 week scan.
At your booking apt your midwife should advise and all notes are transferred to your new gp and midwife. Just make sure you register at your new docs with the mw.

I moved at 33 weeks (now 37 weeks), process was very straight forward. Had my 32 week appointment with my GP, then transferred to my new GP and booked in for a 34 week appointment with the midwife at my new surgery - she did me a set of transfer notes and referred me to my new hospital. Only annoyance is now carrying around 2 lots of notes!

I moved at 16 weeks too, but stuck with the same hospital for my 20 week scan as I had for my 12 week, as I'm going to be moving again before the baby comes, and I don't want to get lost in the system. I know it's quite unsettling, and it feels like things get overly complicated, but as long as your green notes are up to date, it'll all get figured fine.
