Tummy scars during pregnancy

Hi,
I'm 16 weeks with DC1, so this is still pretty new for me!

I have quite a large, thick scar on my tummy from peritoneal dialysis as a toddler. It got infected as well at the time so it's quite raised but no problems and it's jut white usually

I noticed last night that the bottom has gone all bruised almost, looks like maybe some tiny blood vessels might have burst under the skin or something? Doesn't hurt at all, so I guess its maybe just like a stretch mark, but just wondered of anyone else has had similar and whether it's something I should get checked out.

I don't know whether it really is normal but I also have a massive scar on my belly from an op when I was 10 and also getting purple broken vein type things right at the top of it as my belly is growing. I guess they're just some sort of stretch marks?

I also have a huge scar from a colostomy after birth and I too had this also felt quite painful and aching when I was in 3rd trimester but everythings fine now its normal just keep an eye on it I'm sure you will be fine. Good luck x

Thank you for the thoughts - I phoned the midwife in the end to be sure and she agreed its about stretching and nothing to be worried about. Thanks!

I have a scar on my stomach from an op when I was a baby, only 8 weeks at the moment so not an issue yet but I have been worried it will stretch out widthways and then not go back.

I have a 16" abdominal scar due to major surgery just 2 yrs before birth if first child. I've carried 2 babies and have had no issues which were scar-related.
