10 dpo only 25 hcg?? Normal???

Hey ladies I had a miscarriage 2 months ago and last month my hcg wAs down to 2 and now this month I had gotten my faint bfp so I got blood work done at 10 dpo and hcg was 25 my doc didn't seem very optimistic about it but I think he thinks that I was trying last month when it was at two and I think he thinks it's the same hcg from last month if that makes sense anyways what were your hcg levels around 10 dpo??

I just checked my records - my HCG was only 20 at 12dpo. 5 days later it was 465.

It is not abnormal - your HCG levels are dependant on when implantation occured rather than when ovulation occured, if that makes sense.

I'm not sure I understand what your doc means about it being HCG from last month - I don't see why it would rise unless fertilization occured. You know that your levels dropped to 2 (not pregnant), so for them to have risen above 5 (I think it is) surely means that sperm met egg. Perhaps the doc is just being cautious because it is so early?

You should have another blood test in a few days/a week to see if your levels have risen properly. It sounds like the start of something good though...

Ya I go in again on Friday so see if they're doubling and everything and I dunno I think he either thinks I've missed my period and that's why I tested and he thinks the numbers are low but they are pretty right on for 10 dpo and I don't know why he would even bring up my hcg from last month unless he thinks I thought I was preg last month and my hcg went from 2 to 25 in a month which wouldn't be good but I know I wasn't preg last month ugh

Sometimes after a MC you can have residual tissue left over which means your body keeps producing HCG and you show faint positives even though there is no new pg, and for some women it can take a few months before their levels drop and they start ovulating again.. Maybe your doctor is concerned that this is possible? It seems unlikely given that you had a HCG under 5. Do you know you definitely ovulated? Did you have a normal period in between? Was your HCG of 2 before or after your period?

As the other poster said though, your levels seem consistent with a new pg - fingers crossed for you.

Ya that's what I think he is thinking but we were actively trying so I think this is a new pregnancy I did another test today and the line is darker not super dark yet but my period isn't due till tomorrow or the next day and I'm just using dollar tree tests I can't remember if I had my period before or after my hcg went down to 2 and I had one "period" after my mc and it was just thick brown stuff with one day of some red stuff my doc said that counts as my "normal" period after mc and that came a day before my period was expected so I was pretty much right on time then the next periods supposed to be tomorrow
