Anyone else overdue?

I am now 40+6 and very fed up. Was supposed to have a sweep yesterday but my cervix was so high the midwife couldn't reach to do it properly. So not looking imminent :-(

I just want to sleep but have a hyper toddler to contend with. Fortunately DH is being great and has booked off every afternoon this week to look afer DS (he naps late morning so i can cope with them!).

I know this isn't a biggie in the scheme of things, am just feeling sorry for myself.

I'm only a day overdue but still fall into the category.

I have to say though it's my first pregnancy and I'm actually doing pretty well. I had a midwife appointment yesterday and she did an internal and asked if I wanted a sweep. She said she could get her finger in my cervix but not much else and didn't think the baby was that far down. So I didn't take the sweep in the end.

It will happen soon enough hon.

Me 40 + 3

Had sweep at 40 + 1 was told very favourable already 2 cms dilated.
But nothing, no pains, twinges etc since I had sweep.

I guess they will come when ready

Am fed up with the constant text, calls, emails "have you had that baby yet?" "why haven't you had it?"
I know people are being nice but ........

Oh yes...the constant messages. If anyone else asks me if i've had the baby yet i may well scream!

I'm booked in for an indution next friday so i keep telling myself there is a week to go max.

And the "get a hot curry down you!"

1 week to go max in the grand scheme of things isn't too bad.... Fingers crossed that you don't have to wait that long x

Me...40+2 and like OP had MW today, couldn't get sweep as cervix too posterior. Will try again next Thursday, failing that I'll be taken in on the 18th...think wee one is far too comfy to move sny time soon
