Just been to tesco and got a 2 pack of nighties for £8.
Anyone else found any offers or anything?

Unhelpfully no, but marking place if you don't mind!

rrreow · 09/05/2013 13:12

I bought a pack of Johnson's breast pads at Superdrug for 99p the other day. They weren't even on offer or anything. Not sure if they were mispriced but I took advantage!

FoofFighter · 09/05/2013 13:21

Asda - 5 pack of dispo maternity knickers £1.50

forgetmenots · 09/05/2013 13:33

Great idea for a thread. I'm holding out for a holland and Barrett penny sale for witch hazel/tea tree.

Amazon have some bargains on things you might not expect too (been recommended the tucks haemorrhoid pads which are soaked in witch hazel and can be used for after birth...

AnythingNotEverything · 09/05/2013 13:35

Ooh. Great thread.

What would you use witch hazel for? Tis a long time since I last have birth and I fear things have changed!

FoofFighter · 09/05/2013 13:44

Soothes your sore bits if you put it on a pad in your pants ANE.

Tesco have Lansinoh reduced to £6.66 from £9.99

thepartysover · 09/05/2013 13:59

forgetmenots I went past Holland & Barrett this morning - pretty sure the penny sale is on!

Littlemissexpecting · 09/05/2013 14:10

Yep the penny sale is on now.
I got 4 pairs of big black pants for 2.50 in Primark and flipflops for the hospital shower for a pound!

dinkystinky · 09/05/2013 14:13

Ocado also had lansinoh on offer last week

Also good to get in the penny sale is arnica (take after birth to promote healing).

wifey6 · 09/05/2013 14:18

Oo great idea for a thread & great offers already!
I got Cussons bump bath soak half price at Tesco - £1.74!

FoofFighter · 09/05/2013 15:38

Poundland have the little round tins of Vaseline lipbalms in, err for £1 surprisingly! A must have for anyone's bag as hospitals are so dry.

dottypyjamas · 09/05/2013 15:44

Great thread- found witchhazel in homebargains for just over a pound which seemed cheap to me!

Ezza1 · 09/05/2013 15:52

Marking place as I love a bargain.

(Also, I had completely forgotten that I will need to pack a bag and what goes in it)

TinkyPeet · 09/05/2013 15:58

Ooh thanks lovelies! Keep em coming I'm making a shopping list! Lol

I am 39+6 and finally getting round to packing my bag. It has none of these things in, bar pads and big knickers!

Wickedgirl · 09/05/2013 16:20

Wilkinson a sell maternity knickers for £1 for 5 pairs

Poundland sell bed mats ( the waterproof ones that are great if your waters go at home)....... 3 mats for £1. I will put one in my car and keep the other 2 for using in my bed

Steffanoid · 09/05/2013 16:55

I bought some huge nickers from asda George, about 2 pound for £5 and then night time pads from wilkos 10 for £1 I think

forgetmenots · 09/05/2013 18:01

Brilliant pound land tip about the mats!

Ohhh thepartysover I will have to nip in tomorrow to stock up :)

HadALittleFaithBaby · 09/05/2013 19:16

The best buy I had was a plastic jug from Tesco for about 60p. Used it to rinse as I peed the first few days. Believe me, if you have stitches, it's a Godsend!

JazzAnnNonMouse · 09/05/2013 19:35

The best thing I can recommend for hospital bags is snacks - chocolate preferably Grin

HadALittleFaithBaby · 09/05/2013 19:43

Biscuits were key for my energy levels when BF in the middle of the night!

mildred37 · 09/05/2013 19:53

Jogging bottoms from primark for £5. Got a pair of navy cropped ones and they are so comfy I went back to get 2 more pairs! They do them in navy, black, green and grey and will come in very useful for early stages and post labour (plus they are fab for lounging around the house in, especially now most of my clothes don't fit!)

HadALittleFaithBaby · 09/05/2013 21:17

Oh yes mildred! I went to Sports direct but I got joggers one size above my normal. The beauty is if I'm lounging at home and I want to nap they're comfy enough to sleep in too.

ButteryJam · 09/05/2013 21:24

Debenhams have 5 pairs of knickers for £3.

ButteryJam · 09/05/2013 21:26

I've bought the tucks haemorrhoid pads from amazon and ordered the earth mama spray too.
