Morning all,

Looking for some sound advice from mamas who've been there and done that. I'm 13/14 weeks with my second (scan next week). Have to say I'm a bit confused/wierded out about all the bodily changes this time...

My boobs are already the size of melons, I'm putting on weight at a rate of knots (despite trying to control it with healthy eating), I'm already showing the start of a mini bulge and I could have sworn I felt a first flutter this morning, wah!

It all seems so quick! We were actively trying to conceive so I'm pretty sure I've got my dates right. So...is this all normal???

Thanks!

I can't tell you about the fluttering a, but with DS I didn't wear maternity clothes until 24 weeks, with DD1 it was 16 weeks and 15 weeks for DD2. I was fine with this, but my mother thought it was perfectly acceptable to tell me I was huge/enormous compared to the previous time. I wasn't and I knew I wasn't, not sure if she was just over excited....?

I know that feeling! My favourtite jeans are out and maxi dresses are in - at least the weather suits! It was my hubby who set me thinking, he's been away with work for the last two weeks and upon walking through the door his first word were: "Wow look at the size of those!" Men...

As for mums, mine told me that it was "ok to diet while pregnant" a few days ago. I reacted by eating a Mars Bar, and felt much better!

I am pg with DC2 and I was wearing maternity clothes around 8-9 weeks, and felt the first flutters around 14 weeks.

A colleague is pregnant with her first, for a long time I looked pregnant and she didn't, but now by 30ish weeks she has caught up and we are about the same size. I think you tend to show earlier 2nd time round but it doesn't mean you'll end up bigger by the end :)

Good reaction! I'm 17 weeks with dc2 and everything has happened so much sooner than the first time! My belly popped at about 12 weeks and hasn't stopped inflating since! Started feeling movement much earlier, my boobs got big the same time with both, love them! At my 16 week check last week the mw said my womb was higher than normal at this stage but it's just because muscles have done it before and everything is still normal. Just enjoy the bump! x

And the boobs!
