Kegels!!

I am trying to start doing my Kegel exercises but I'm not sure if I'm doing them right or not.

I know the feeling of the muscle I'm trying to exercise and can feel it tightening a bit but I can also feel my buttock muscles tightening at the same time which the guide says is wrong.

I find it easier to squeeze the right muscle when on the loo/ DTD (sorry TMI) but when just sitting in a chair, it seems less effective if that makes sense?!

It's just like trying to hold in a wee. Don't clench your bum! Just practice you'll get it. x

There was a great thread on this here a while back - read nankypeevy's posts.

Since my midwife told me I'm supposed to be doing them for 10 minutes 6 times a day (an hour of kegels every day?!?) I've been panicking slightly about post-natal incontinence!

Thanks Orbis- that thread is great! Can save my money for something else like maternity trousers if I could find any to bloody fit
