Noticed this at about 2am this morning, sex last night. Nothing more this morning. Am just over 10 weeks. Does this sound normal enough? Have my first appointment today so will mention it to m/w but just wanted reassurance before then if poss!

Yep, I had similar w both DC. Just ask though-always good to be reassured.

Strangely, its almost exactly the same time I had a small bleed with ds1 and that was all fine so that gives me a bit of confidence. Thanks.

Sounds totally normal but if you're worried I wouldn't hesitate to phone your midwife, who should be able to reassure you

Just happened again. Nothing again, then some more bright red streaks on the loo paper just before getting into bed. Told m/w this morning and she said it can be normal when your second missed period would have been due which would be about now (long cycle)...still panicking though. WWYD?

Should say 'Nothing all day' at the start of my post...

I had spotting recently (I'm further along 31 weeks) but I'll tell you what my midwife said. She said it can be due to sex, due to polyps or nothing at all. She said put on a pad and monitor how much blood you lose, if it becomes a proper 'flow' or looks like period blood, or if you have any pains or cramps or feel unwell then call back. I was told to rest and not worry about it unless any of the above happened.

My bleeding tailed off within a couple days and everything is fine. So try not to panic because sometimes it's harmless. I would call your own midwife though and see what she advises you to do.

Saw m/w yesterday and she wasn't worried. Have had more bleeding today though (still v light) and been phone to the early pregnancy unit, who said they don't need to see me unless I'm in pain and its gets very heavy. Feeling so helpless, as just want someone to scan and tell me either way! Taken us a year to conceive so I just can't bear the thought of it going wrong. No idea why but I just have a bad feeling.

You have a lot more blood down there and the cells in your uterus are now more prone to the odd tear, especially after sex. I would guess the light bleeding is just a little tear from Thursday that is taking time to heal. Hopefully it will ease off and go back to brown over the next few days

This happened to me at almost 12 weeks and sadly the bleeding got heavier over the next couple of days and I miscarried. :( However, I had a few spots of blood after sex early in pregnancy with DS and he was fine so it is likely it will all be ok, but I would insist on a scan at EPU to put your mind at rest. Hope it all works out.

I was going to start a similar thread. I'm six weeks and had a gush of blood last night after sex. It seemed quite a bit (but it might have seemed like more because it was mixed in with his stuff sorry, tmi)and was dark red.

It hasn't seemed to have carried on since the initial clean up and I have no pain, just the same dull ache i've had since missed af.

I haven't called anyone because I have been at a family wedding (nightmare) and my first app isn't until th 24th.

Should I call someone or wait until the app?

Sorry to hijack op, didn't want to start a thread the same. Hope everything is ok for you Flowers

Hi YoniIf

See how you go today, if it's just a small tear then you shouldn't see an increase in blood. But you may still get some red blood today as it takes a while for them to heal up (less oxygen up there plus more blood)

Obviously, increasing blood and/or pain and you should either go to A&E or call OOH GP.

Hopefully just the former and it will tail off soon
