sweep yesterday followed by bad period pains - normal?

40 +5 and the midwife offered me a sweep last night. Cervix posterior but was open.

Since then (and especially for several hours in the night where they were really regular) I have had bad period type cramps in my back and around the bottom of my bump. Also had a good show this morning.
Hoping these are all good signs??

I have been offered another sweep on Friday but these pains are putting me off!

It sounds like u might not need a sweep by friday!

Double check your hospital bag!

That sounds pretty much like how my labour started!
