exhausted at 29 weeks

anyone else the same? Feeling very guilty as my 2 year old is currently plonked in front of cbeebies. I am still working 4 days so on my day off feel I should be doing lovely things with DS but I am just so exhausted.

We haven't even been outside yet today Blush although I am working up to it....

Any ideas re activities to do with him (soft play was a no no as I had to crawl in to get him out and then he didn't want to leave. It was not a great parenting moment).

Toddler groups
Do you enjoy swimming with him?
Trip to the park and then an ice cream?
Library
Walk with a bucket to collect 'stuff' which you can then glue
Sit in the garden with a bowl of soapy water and let hum wash stuff.
Take a bath together then get into mummies big bed and read stories for a while.
If he is happy, and you are happy then leave as is!

yes I was shattered at 29wks, I demanded iron tablets from GP and have felt a lot better from a little while after that. I'd also recommend Floradix (tastes lovely as well) in the meantime.

I'd also recommend bath together and sploshing about with water in the bathroom / garden. Low effort for you, lots of fun for him.

I second the garden with soapy water! Kids love bubbles! Great way to wash all the biscuit crumbs out of toys too haha, you could even make the water different colours if you're feeling a bit rebellious lol. Or get a ball and play catch, you can sit down for that. Teddys picnic? Or strip down to nappy and let them paint a lovely picture outside.....another use for big bowl of soapy water afterwards lol x

I feel your pain, 32 weeks and just had 2.10yo dd on my own for four days whilst dh was away. Second the suggestions about soapy water. We also had a relatively peaceful time making and decorating cakes, making tents (I lay on the floor in a sleeping bag for an hour). Just about managed swimming. Big surprise was how much she enjoyed and behaved on a train trip. 45 min journey, tea and cake at the other end then came home again. That was a Sunday morning not rush hour though! Good luck
