Getting pregnant after LH surge

Hi just wondering if anyone knew how long after their LH surge they had conceived. Am using OPK for first time this month. Had a smiley face indicating LH surge this morning. Leaflet seems to say am now fertile for 24-48 hours. Problem is DH is several thousand miles away and not home until Monday night! I assume this month is ruled out for conception Sad but was just wondering if there was any hope at all??!! Was anyone in a similar situation and conceived 60-72 hours after first LH indicator?

LH surge can last anything from a few hours, up to 2-3 days prior to ovulation, so yes in theory you may still be in with a chance. How long ago did you last DTD? Sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days so could you also still have any chance that way?

He's been away for 10 days so no chance that way!!
