Discovered friend age 43 started trying for a baby last autumn, she's since had two miscarriages. Sister in law - 40 next month - has been having problems TTC - she's been doing so for nearly a year (MIL took 8 years to conceive DH and never found out why she had problems) Then a mummy friend from my daughter's dance class lost her baby at full term. Now feeling really guilty that I just want my pregnancy to speed up and see my baby (DD2). I know that - God willing baby is okay - this will be my last pregnancy. I should be enjoying... Also got one little piece of work to finish - deadline this coming Monday...

And despite sharing my two pregnancies on MN (over five years) - still have no idea what AF/DPO/POAS and various other acronyms mean!

Aunt Flo - period
Days post ovulation

I felt the same. My friend had still born baby at 38 weeks so around that time in my own pregnancy I became very anxious. I was relieved to have DD at 38 + 5 - she's 12 days old now. Daunting as it is to be a parent, I find it easier in a lot of ways to look after her now she's here! At least if I'm concerned someone can look at her!

Don't feel guilty but be prepared there's no guarantee your baby won't want to sit tight for a while!
