Hi, I am 36 weeks pregnant and have put on 16kg (35lbs).
Im confused whether this is normal or over what I should have gained.
Cheers.

I might be wrong (sorry if I am!) but I'm sure I read somewhere that you are meant to put on 1lb a week? So 35lb in 34 week would be about right?

I might be completely wrong there though. As long as you are eating quite healthily and your midwife is happy with baby's growth, I wouldn't worry too much.

Were you a healthy weight to start? If so, then you have gained roughly the highest amount advisable, however ultimately some people gain more and some less than others. As long as you weren't very overweight to start with, then you should be fine.

80quid it's 1lb a week in second and third trimester, 0-7lbs total in first trimester.

Thanks rockchick for correcting that. Sorry about that op.
