Period pains

Im 36weeks pregnant and ive been having period pains this afternoon with a few tummy tighterings. What could it be?

Braxton hicks? - basically practise contractions.

Keep a note of how long they last, if they get more painful or closer together it may be time to call the midwife

If they ease off (try a bath), then probably BH

But call your Mw or labour ward if you are at all worried.

They dont feel like braxton hicks though

I've been getting these lately- dont know what it is but I'm not sure what braxton hicks feel like either. I'm going to stand by and see what comes back or what the mw says when I see her on sat. I'm 35+6 x

When is ur due date bunnychan? Ye i think im going to hold out untill i c the midwife on monday x

I've been getting these pains too and I'm close to 36. Not sure if its something I should worry about??

I came online to post the same question...last 2 days had period pains, it's not BH as i get those and they don't hurt. They're not crampy, more like that deep dull ache that makes you want to curl up with a hot water bottle. Didn't have this with my first pregnancy, i'm 35 weeks, just wondered if anyone else has had this and if it's a sign of baby getting moving??

Mw told me its baby getting lower

I'm 35 weeks and havin lots of bh's and mild discomfort under my bump. Baby is definitely lower as there's a gap at the top of my bump and I need to wee every 5 mins which!

Im also losing alot of discharge and think i may have lost some of my plug last week as it was thick and snotty looking (sorry tmi)
