Vbac induction

I am trying to find out, if anyone else has had an induction after a c section? I'm pregnant with my dc5 first 3 dc were all inductions at 37 weeks and the last one was an abruption at 34 weeks, so this time they want to break my waters at 37 weeks for preeclampsia!

Any thoughts? Experience?

i was told that induction after section was not recommended due to increased chance of uterine scar rupture - but that may be with hormonal type induction not breaking waters??? there are lots of medical types on here so hopefully someone will be along shortly to let you (and me) know

I had a c section last time and was told that induction increases the risk of the scar ripping during labour by about 40% so definitely would not be keen to get induced. Can you not get another section? Much safer!

P.s - I had preeclampsia and if high blood pressure is one of your symptoms insist on a c section! The stress of labour could be dangerous for you.

I've been told all along it will be a section and then two weeks ago the main women said no and wants a vbac with induction if I don't go naturally before! I said about my bp and preeclampsia but she's not worried! I've never gone in to spontaneous labour so can't see that happening! But know that 37 weeks is my bodies limit because the preeclampsia gets really bad :(
