Pregnancy Test: First Response?

Does anyone know how early you can test? I am pretty sure First Response say 4 days before period is due but is this accurate? Is it more likely to be accurate if you wait until period is actually late?

My periods were irregular and it came up + on day 28 for me but I have heard others testing early and it has worked.

9 days post conception. I used a Boots test 9 days after the night I conceived

MrsDoolittle · 16/05/2006 14:44

flowertot - you can easily get a false negative if you're testing before you are due. I think that First Response reckon they get around 65% of pregnancies at 4 days before due date and this percentage goes up each day - so if you test on due date it is 99% accurate.

I got a positive 4/5 days before my period was due with First Response

katzg · 16/05/2006 15:12

i had a boots own test which came up neg until i was 3 days late! but i knew i was pg becuase i had been thrwoing up every morning for the past 10 days! happened both times just different tests, no positive until i was 2 days late

flowertot · 16/05/2006 16:26

Looks like AF is on her way so further testing unneccessary this month!

I got a -ve with first response with ds2+3.
Try boots own, they are FAB imo.

RnB · 16/05/2006 16:35

i tested negative 1 day early but positive 7 days late with this test.

flowertot · 17/05/2006 09:19

Bet Boots own are much cheaper as well. Going to have to calm down a bit over this testing lark though - can't be doing it every month 'just to see'!! Going to have to learn to be patient.......

I tested negative 1 day before with first response and positive on due date with clear blue digital.
