i am on baby number 5 and ive ever had cravings with any of mine!Ive always thought it must be a myth!

80QuidYoniJob · 26/04/2013 16:57

Marmite on toast followed by a cup of tea. I've had that at least once a day for the last few months. Can't get enough of it.

Dildals · 26/04/2013 16:59

oranges / orange juice

And I had a whole pack of chocolate Leibniz biscuits for dinner one time, but not sure whether I can really blame that on pregnancy. I did have to hunt them down in the big sainsbury's, nowhere else to be found!

amazingmumof6 · 26/04/2013 16:59

the weirdest one was baked potatoes with honey.

it wasn't really a craving, I had such terrible all-day sickness, there was literally nothing I could eat that didn't make me feel nauseous/sick

cravings with my last pregnancy when feeling sick:

  • beer (I don't even like beer)
  • smoked salmon sandwiches. I lived on them for 2 weeks, that is all I could eat....5 /day with cucumbers
OneFingerSjupesUpTheYoni · 26/04/2013 17:01

Ended up having a pizza slice thing, A raisin bagel with butter and philidelpia and a strawberry ice lolly mmmmmm :) now want the tin of pears in juice from the cupboard Grin i need to remember to eat at regular times it might save this hunger but i doubt it i'd only be eating more

BlackholesAndRevelations · 26/04/2013 18:30

Glad to see my olive craving is back (5 weeks pg) Grin mmmmm olives!

ItsOkayItsJustMyBreath · 26/04/2013 19:33

Grin Fakebook, that is a classic autocorrect!

First trimester it was green apples (apparently they have a natural anti-emetic quality and I had horrid MS, possible link?) and Birdseye potato waffles which I hadn't eaten for a good 25 years.

Third trimester, extra strong mints. I had to limit myself to 3 2 packets a day, I would just shove a handful in my mouth and crunch them. Wonder if this is why pg women qualify for free dental care? Wink

Happydotcom · 26/04/2013 20:14

Petrol Blush

derpityderp · 26/04/2013 20:27

Damp bath sponges but only after they've been washed out a few times in Johnsons bath stuff in the orange bottle. It smells so good it makes me want to eat it. I had my LO last week and the urge to eat sponges is almost gone which is good because I'd eaten 3 in the past month. Blush

With my first pregnancy during the first 10 weeks I lived almost exclusively on strawberry Yazoo because it was the only thing I could stomach at the time.

RedlipsAndSlippers · 26/04/2013 20:44

With DD it was crackerbread with thick marge and cheddar, and I was almost in tears when DP couldn't get hold of maple syrup at 11 o'clock at night!
This time it's Smash, can't get enough of it :)
Also I only drink tea when I'm pregnant, can't stand it otherwise.
nanoninja I always think I want KFC when I smell it, then I can't bare to eat it Hmm

dutchyoriginal · 26/04/2013 21:38

Funny redlips, I live on tea, but with DS I couldn't stand it anymore. Made me even sick in the first weeks. So far (6 weeks), I'm still good with tea, fortunately.

So far no real cravings yet, but also with DS, I suddenly wanted MEAT, a lot of it! Have been a very very picky meat eater for most of my life, basically half vegetarian with loads of fish, but I suddenly wanted beef, and lots of it.

Friend, DH and I went for our annual dinner and I suddenly ordered beef. They looked at each other and said/thought pregnant, because in 7 years, they had never seen me order meat in a restaurant!

Taffeta · 26/04/2013 22:32

DS - melon and Weetabix (not together ) DS now hates both
DD - nothing. Her fave foods? Melon and Weetabix. Confused

2Labradors · 27/04/2013 07:42

In this pregnancy so far I had a big urge for Branston pickle mmmm, I went to the shop near work and they had some, I smothered my sandwiches in them.

I also fancy peanut flavouring, although I haven't actually bought peanut butter yet (oh the calories), but had some chicken in satay sauce from the Chinese when DH last went.

I've gone off chocolate and I'm a chocoholic. Can still eat choc biccys etc but just not plain choc like dairy milk. We still have Easter eggs in the fridge!

I also really want coffee, I'm usually a tea drinker. DH found some cappuccino sachets de-caff for me and they're amazing!

insanityscratching · 27/04/2013 07:46

Pickled onion space raiders and a milky way used to fend off morning sickness. I've had them since but they don't taste the same now

Charters92 · 05/06/2013 01:12

McDonalds double cheeseburger with fries and their mango and pineapple smoothie Would have to be me that gets a McDonalds for a craving.

CouthyMow · 05/06/2013 02:16

Cucumber dipped in Nutella with DD. Used to get some right odd looks with just a cucumber and a jar of Nutella in my shopping basket...

With all 3 DS's, ice. Crunched. Got through a kilo a day.

CouthyMow · 05/06/2013 02:19

Just remembered - I also craved pepperami with DD (though not at the same time as the other one).

And with all 3 DS's, I also craved Haribo tangfastics.

amanda36567 · 05/06/2013 03:24

anything spicy. Jalapeño peppers =)

LouiseD29 · 05/06/2013 07:22

Cold cold beer (which has been a bit frustrating), Heinz tomato soup and at the moment anything lemony. Doesn't sound too bad except generally that means lemon cake. Mmmm.... Lemon cake....

tequilacream · 05/06/2013 14:48

The only constant craving - freshly squeezed orange + lemon juice every morning; Also herring in cream with apples, gherkins and onions - occasionally; almond butter (massive help with nausea); went through a phase of cheesy doritos; gone off chocolate and other sweets; sent DH to get pot noodles - had one and that was me done; powdered milk for a couple of weeks in 1st trimester;

igirisu · 05/06/2013 16:24

I feel left out because I am 39 weeks now and have not had any cravings at all!

FoofFighter · 05/06/2013 19:02

30wks and I'm currently going through a phase of tomatoes (not normally a huge fan), crispy iceberg lettuce (not normally a huge fan) and apples (DEFFO not a fan normally unless in a pie!)

it's been a while since I have had a craving really, the last one was at about 4months or so for guacamole, went through a tub a day for a week then went off it.

Futterby · 05/06/2013 19:18

Mashed potatoes with gravy :)
