Tomatoes with first pregnancy. Im 16 weeks pregnant with second I'm 34 years old never had a mc Donald's in my life to now. I've had 2 in a month big mac and fries, I don't understand it, I know it's rubbish food with no goodness I wouldn't have touched it if not pregnant. Weird!

OhHullitsOnlyMeYoni · 26/04/2013 12:21

Mine was Snickers bars and Maoms - still no idea the correct pronunciation of the latter! Oh and cheese, lots and lots of cheese.
Cheese was DD's first word and she would eat it all day if I let her (no coincidence I'm sure). Managed to avoid her trying Snickers and Maoms so far though Wink

I had severe pica...

I went nuts over coal tar shampoo and the old-fashioned moth balls (didn't eat them, just sniffed them incessantly - tried very hard not too, but kept sneaking off to the kitchen - it was like crack!)

Eating wise, crushed ice by the ton.

Turned out I had very severe anaemia. Crushed ice is a give-away for that apparently.

wispa31 · 26/04/2013 12:57

fish finger sandwiches with ketchup has been my brekky all this week. also getting through 2-3 boxes a week of the magnum infinity choc lollies. half price in tescos so i buy a box every time im in
couple weeks back it was oatcakes with smoked applewood cheese and innkeepers choice cheese, both with branston pickle on top.
also taken a real liking to the smell of my fabric softner, reminds me of my grannys house on wash day. been sniffing a towel that was washed other day.

LadyMaryCrawley · 26/04/2013 13:07

Tinned peaches in syrup
Milk, gallons and gallons of it
then towards the end, coca cola, the normal version, not the sugar free stuff.

octanegirl · 26/04/2013 13:27

Scotch eggs, pork pies and cheese. I completely went off cakes and chocolate for a while - till I was about 8 months!

KirjavaTheCat · 26/04/2013 13:35

I am eating waaaay too many portions of chips with waaaay too much salt and vinegar.

I can't stop thinking about them. This baby is going to come out soaked in vinegar.

Arrggghh my mouth is watering.

sweetiepie1979 · 26/04/2013 13:43

Do you think it's ok to eat all this crap? I'm on strong codeine as well makes me feel even worse, poor baby! I take pregnacure in the hope that helps.

javotte · 26/04/2013 13:52

DA and DD1 : tomatoes with feta.
DD2 : tinned peaches in syrup (Hi LadyMaryCrawley!) and pâté en croûte (the French pork pie).

javotte · 26/04/2013 13:52

I meant DS and DD1, of course.

siluria · 26/04/2013 13:57

sweetipie you're fine - there are thousands of perfectly healthy babies out there whose mums probably only ate McDs when they were pregnant ;)

Just steer clear of the milkshakes - you're not allowed those, apparently! (Can't remember the reason why now.)

First pregnancy: no cravings.
This pregnancy: salad, from about 10-18 weeks. Am 24 weeks now, and feeling a bit more normal.

bringonyourwreckingball · 26/04/2013 14:02

Haribo with dd1, avocados with dd2. Which might explain why I put on 4.5 stone with dd1 and rather less with dd2

sweetiepie1979 · 26/04/2013 14:10

Thanks Siluria x

OneFingerSjupesUpTheYoni · 26/04/2013 14:16

I want a mcdonalds RIGHT NOW and i want chicken dippers and pizza and jalepenos and onion rings and blue doritos and chinese food and salad and ice lollies ... . ... i'm huuuuuungry!!

sweetiepie1979 · 26/04/2013 14:50

You can have It all Siluria says its fine. I've just eaten a bar of green and blacks and ate my toddlers crisps

EccentricElastic · 26/04/2013 15:04

Mine was Piccalilli - by the jar - the bigger the jar the better - eaten straight from it with a fork - several times a day - every day!

I feel queasy just thinking about it!

From the day I gave birth to this very moment, I haven't touched the stuff since!

OhLori · 26/04/2013 15:06

It was a long time ago, but quiche, lots of it. Now I know why, the protein!

Lolapink · 26/04/2013 15:08

Humours, bacon and peanut butter. Obviously not all together!

GwennieF · 26/04/2013 15:10

Chillis with DS - it got to the point where I was having chilli sauce in my porridge in the morning.

With DD apples - apple juice, apple pie, anything with apples....

Ice, in 3 of my 5 pregnancies. Major ice problem- a pint of ice cubes at a time, several times a day. Sometimes straight from the freezer as a snack between pints of ice. A highly convenient craving as I ended pregnancy lighter than when I started with each of those. Only problem is it's not good for the teeth.

With DS, polo mints. I must have eaten a pack or two a day for 6 months.

With the pregnancy that ended in a MC at 13 weeks, it was bacon, potato and onion omelettes. Blooming delicious. Also sandwiches made with that sun dried tomato and mozzarella balls salad from Waitrose. Also delish. Shame about the wee doomed thing.

With my only iceless pregnancy (DD1), I seem to remember eating a fair few sweets and apples.

duchesse · 26/04/2013 15:19

Just remembered when expecting DS that I was working just round the corner from a really good butcher's and used to nip up there at the start of lunchtime for the last 3 months of my pregnancy to buy a chicken breast that I'd cook in the microwave. Every single day for 3 months. I had to have it or I'd feel like sh1t on the commute home.

OneoftheseBoxes · 26/04/2013 16:00

Fruit flavoured sweets - skittles, fruit jellies, opal fruits etc. With both pregnancies, one girl, one boy

MERLYPUSS · 26/04/2013 16:12

The ice cream thingy is in case they don't clean the freezing pipes out you can get bacteria. I reasoned that macdonalds would have a better procedure than Mr Whippy so I gave in and ate McDs milkshake and icecream.

NanoNinja · 26/04/2013 16:39

KFC - (un)luckily we live in a country where there are no KFCs. So made do with laughing cow cheese instead. Which I haven't had since due to DS having dairy issues. Still no KFC either.
My anti craving was coffee - having a newborn soon shook me out of that.
