By the way op I love Richmond sausages please don't tell me they are bad for me Grin

cathpip · 22/04/2013 20:38

With my ds anything that tasted of orange and Mr Kipling's cherry bakewell tarts. With dd it was cheese on toast and coke.

Thingiebob · 22/04/2013 20:45

Ice poles and ready salted Walkers crisps!

MarvellousYou · 22/04/2013 20:47

Ice, the smell of bleach/chlorine and cheese and onion crisps (has to be walkers). I'm pregnant now and go swimming not for the exercise but for the smell of chlorine. I could just sit in reception and save myself £3.70 a time.

tequilacream · 22/04/2013 20:52

1st trimester - frankfurters; herring in cream, apples and gherkins; soured cabbage juice; 2nd trimester - cheesy doritos Smile and freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice from the beginning (have to have a glass every morning). Lets see what 3rd trimester brings.

Yonionekanobe · 22/04/2013 20:56

I have just devoured two smoked cheese and lime pickle rolls and want more

On my first pregnancy it was anything salty but pepperoni and chilli pizza was like Michelin star food to me. An American Hot four times a week towards the end Blush

Yonionekanobe · 22/04/2013 20:57

Ha ha ha. Crying fakebook

MERLYPUSS · 22/04/2013 22:04

With DT's I had two distinct cravings. Sweet and creamy so things like youghurt and mac D strawberry milkshake (hate, and always have, anything strawberry flavour) and sharp/sour stuff. I used to get a cheeseburger with extra gherkins, throw away the meat and fill th ebun with ketchup.
Ideal dinner was large bowl of rice crispies with loads of sugar followed by a bowl of lemon sorbet [ confused ]

DoingTheSwanThing · 22/04/2013 22:55

McDonald's cheese burgers. I don't believe I'd eaten a single one pre-pregnancy (and was veggie).
Also sweetcorn egg drop soup from a specific takeaway. OH took pity on me about 11pm one night, but the bastards put chicken in it. Cried my heart out I did.

GlitterySkulls · 23/04/2013 01:15

DS-irn-bru,salt & vinegar pringles, cups of oxo, & vodka & coke (didn't give in to the last one, but by god did i want it)

DD- coke zero, indian takeaway, strawberry refesher bars, & again, vodka & coke.

this little one- orange lucozade & salt & vinegar kettle chips- but i'm only around the 12 week mark so who knows what else i'll crave.

Madamecastafiore · 23/04/2013 07:32

Ooooohhhh this is fun to read. Makes mine seem tame.

Yes Richmond sausages are called chicken lip sausages in this house.

Yesterday mine was caramelised onion houmous with pitta and carrots and celery. Been up all night with the most horrific wind!Blush

I like the really specific cravings though. Wonder what makes people think of such weird combos? How it pops into your brain?

Fried egg sandwiches and olives with DS. Nothing specific with DD (how boring!)

BlackholesAndRevelations · 23/04/2013 07:57

Madame don't they say it's if your body craves some particular nutrient? Though can't explain chicken and chocolate- bleurgh!

BlackholesAndRevelations · 23/04/2013 07:58

I used to love having breakfast first thing, then taking DD to childminder and coming back for breakfast 2: fried egg sandwich on buttered bread with lots of salt! Mmmmm...

BlackholesAndRevelations · 23/04/2013 07:59

(on maternity leave, before DS arrived I mean... I did have a couple of lovely days to myself!)

MERLYPUSS · 23/04/2013 09:13

My sister would eat Marmite with carrot sticks in the same quantity as huomous washed down with cream soda. That must've created some interesting post meal burps!

RJM17 · 23/04/2013 09:26

Mine has been cold milk and chicken. All I want to eat is chicken and all I've drank is milk and dandelion and burdock. Not too bad or unhealthy. Hoping it doesn't get any worse x

Teaandflapjacks · 23/04/2013 11:19

I was chuckling about Fakebook all last night to myself. I thought of another one - the steam that comes off a fresh lemon lemsip. Obviously I can't drink it - but DH needed one on and off over the winter with terrible colds, and I would always make it, and sit there holding said cup and sniffing it, with an inane look on my face until I deemed it 'cool enough' for DH to drink! Blush

Franykins · 23/04/2013 12:20

Haha Fakebook everyone in the office just stared at me for my random outburst of laughter haha.

I am only 8 weeks but before I found out and till about 1 1/2 weeks ago it was Soreen malted loaf, for breakfast and snacks all day. I hate stuff with fruit in, always have, I like fresh fruit but just not in stuff. Also scrambled eggs on crumpets with ketchup (don't normally like ketchup) Not really craving anything atm, I do keep thinking about take aways!

TinaO99 · 24/04/2013 16:20

mine aren't so much food cravings as smell cravings, I can't get enough of the smell of creosote in DUy shops, petrol fumes and exhaust fumes, I was the same during my first pregnancy!

Gingerbreadpixie · 26/04/2013 11:21

Cheese and salad cream sandwiches! I'm obsessed!!

Mrsambition · 26/04/2013 11:34

@perplexedpirate oh thank god am not the only one!!!

SURF WASHING UP POWDER EMMMMM smells so good i could eat it (obv i dont) My DH thinks am mad.... i love it so much i smell it all the time and have little samples of it all over the house!! Blush

littleomar · 26/04/2013 11:36

I REALLY wanted a cigarette the other day. I've never smoked.
