Hi everyone!

I'm currently 40 weeks today! Whoop! Finally! I've been getting period type pains around my front and back all day. Sometimes for a minute or so then only for 30 seconds and they are really irratic. Sometimes I'll get a few in one hour then nothing for a few hours!! Am I just being hopeful something is going to happen or could this be the start of something?

Any advice please!! Xx

GrinGrinGrin thats exactly how my contractions started - sounds to me like your having a baby tonight. If I were you I'd have a bath, paint your toes, read a magazine and have an early night.
Good Luck xxxxx

Could be Braxton Hicks ramping up, but given that you're 40 weeks there's a good chance it's the real thing. Good luck.

I have been like this since Monday. Come on baby !!!!!!!

Mumtobe26 · 19/04/2013 22:39

Oh RachyWhite it's frustrating isn't it?! How far along are you? I've just eaten a whole pineapple to see if that helps! My midwife has me booked in for a sweep at the beginning of next week so I really hope this is it as I've heard they're really uncomfortable!

I was like this with both babies for a couple of days. With baby 2 I went to bed totally deflated and woke up at 5.30 to my waters breaking, baby born 5 hours later! Fingers crossed

How are you this morning OP?

Mumtobe26 · 20/04/2013 11:30

I'm still here!! I woke up to more cramps and had a couple this morning but it still hasn't advanced any further. I've booked myself in for some reflexology this afternoon, has anyone heard of it doing any good?
