I didn't feel my second baby until after the twenty week scan. I felt my first at about 16 weeks. The second on was lying facing in, so all movements were directed the other way.

Thank you :) I see by doing some research I'm not e only one I feel silly think its just at my 1st scan it was a very active baby and at my 16 wk apt the midwife was shocked I still haven't felt it. Just shock me a little. But thanks for the reply xx

this pregnancy thing is full of worries, isn't it? I am nearly 15 weeks this time and have not felt a thing!

I'm 17+5 today and have been 'listening' hard... but still no kicks, butterflies or wriggly worms yet............ I'm sure they'll come... for all of us! xxx

I haven't felt anything until 22 weeks (this is my first), but was told during the 20-week scan that my placenta is forward facing (anterior) and until the baby's big enough I won't feel anything. Felt it in the bath for the first time.

Hiya Becky, I am pregnant with my 4th too and although I felt movement very early on its only been in the last week that the movement is pronounced enough to recognise it as the baby moving.

I am 19 weeks and the baby was very active 2 weeks ago when the midwife listened with her doppler, ducking and diving out of the way, yet I didn't feel any of it! Briefly heard heartbeat though!

I just think my stomach muscles are very slack...!

Becky an anterior placenta doesn't necessarily mean you won't feel the baby at all, but it is cushioned. With my first baby the placenta was right across the front and I didn't feel anything until around 25 weeks, but then I did feel her regularly. This time the placenta is at the front too but over to one side-I have felt her from around 22 weeks and mainly on the one side, but the kicks and wriggles I can feel are much stronger!

You may not feel him until later on but you might still feel him, try not to worry or be disappointed.

my placenta is on front wall also, my last mw appt she said she thought it might be and when i had my big scan on wed there she confirmed it was. im 22+3 today (scan says im measuring that, dates say 23). i have felt baby kicking and moving since around 20 wks. very lively baby this week, so nice to him/her wriggling away on the screen.
