Getting a c section date?

I know for sure I'm having a c section this time around and was wondering how early others had got given c section dates?

My mum is going to book time off of work for when DH goes back so would just like to know as soon as possible so she can arrange this but don't want to ask if its unreasonable... ( I'm 30 weeks)

Thanks Smile

I am currently 31 one weeks and I will be going to book my c section when I am 36 weeks

Generally unless there are strong reasons to get the baby out earlier, the standard optimal point for a CS is at 39 weeks.

Some hospitals only carry out planned CS on certain days of the week, eg Mon, Tue and Fri's.
You need to speak to your MW to find out how early you can book dates in.

For me, they booked in the actual date for CS when I was 36 weeks. It is probably easier for them to plan CSs nearer term than earlier as the picture has less time to change the nearer term you are.
HTH!
