Any advice please - stabbing pains in bum at 39 weeks!!

I'm 39 +5 weeks and I have been getting super sharp, stabbing pains up my bum!!(tmi i'm sorry)! it only lasts for a couple of seconds, but it's enough to make me jump out of my seat! Has anyone else experienced this? I can't work out if maybe its an internal hemorrhoid or the baby pressing down, but it's getting me really worried about the birth because if this hurts so much when the baby presses down what on earth will it be like during labour?! Does anyone know what I mean or been through the same? Thanks xx

Does tha pain pass or subside at all? It sounds like potentially round ligament or braxton hicks? Call your midwife to get it checked out just in case. Hope you're okay.

It lasts for a few seconds then goes and then i'm fine. It's really random there doesn't seem to be any consistency to it but it when I do get it it's the sharpest, shooting pain you could imagine!!
