Please put me out of my misery!

I can't face this for another four to five weeks, but I know I will most likely have to as baby's come when they want to etc. I am barely mobile and have a myriad of shitty symptoms I didn't have during my first pregnancy and the baby is much larger this time.

I was induced last time on my due date so am guessing I will prob go the full distance.

Any stories?

No but I can truly sympathise with your suffering.
I'm almost 39 weeks and waiting very impatiently for baby to make an appearance. It has been a very long pregnancy. Xxx

I did with DS2 but not really sure what you want to know?

I know how shitty it feels but it's not that much longer until you can have newborn cuddles.

I just want it to end! I keep being told 'ooh it could anytime now then!' And I suppose I was curious how common it is for women to give birth around 37 - 38 weeks.

I have gone into labour naturally each time,

DC1 - 40 weeks exactly
DC2 - 38 weeks exactly
DC3 - 37 + 3
DC4&5 (twins) 23+5
DC6 - 37+6

I am now pregnant with DC7 and the consultant thinks it very unlikely I'll get to my induction at 38 weeks.

Dc1 came early at 37+0 but dc2 kept me waiting till 40+3.

Hang in there!

I was induced at 37 weeks as my waters started trickling & there was a risk of infection.

I say keep them in there as long as possible. They still have some cooking to do at 37 weeks.

Sorry to hear you're having a rough time.

My dd came at 37wks ( totally disagree with keeping her in longer btw I think we were both more then happy Wink) I'm 33+4 with dc2 and totally praying for the same! Don't think there's any rhyme or reason why they come when they do though and I could be just as likely to be term or longer ( prays not) all my friends have had their dc's earlier though

Thingiebob · 14/04/2013 10:41

Obviously I wouldn't want to give birth to a baby that still needs some cooking!

It's just everyone keeps saying 37 weeks is term and it could happen anytime and so on.
