Really weird feeling in pregnancy- want to Google but can't describe it!

I have been unable to describe this to Google it but here goes:
Weird feeling comes over me
Feels physical but vague
Not pleasant but not painful
Lasts a couple of seconds but may return quite soon
It's a bit like a rush/ tingle but doesn't actually tingle
Gives me the feeling that there's something I should be doing but I can't tell what, it's as if it's an urge towards something
Am 21 weeks pg but have been having it for a few weeks now, usually in the evening but not always

Anyone else? Any ideas?

No ideas I'm afraid but I can understand why you were finding it hard to google Grin

I have it. I think it is like adrenalin rush perhaps.

BraveLilBear · 04/04/2013 17:41

Is it a bit like when you gt a single drop of water down back/shoulder sensation?

I had something weird like this the other day - wanted to itch/scratch but there was nothing to itch/scratch - it was too deep for that. It lasted all night and was gone in the morning. I decided it was a temporary pinched nerve hence the nearly tingly feeling.

Could it be that?

Onlyconnect · 04/04/2013 17:46

Brave, yes it is a bit like that. It's not an itch, as in I don't feel any need to scratch, but the drop of water description is sort of like it.

Could it be like restless legs? I get it in my legs at night but sometimes in other places during the day, sort of like too much caffeine/energy in my blood feeling that only eases when I move.

SourSweets · 04/04/2013 18:50

I agree it sounds like restless legs. I had this really badly last night, only it wasn't in my legs it was sort of all over. I had to shake it out, that helps sometimes!

Onlyconnect · 04/04/2013 18:56

Yes! It s like restless legs but all over. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. Thank you.

I was also going to say restless legs. It is very dicomfitting

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 04/04/2013 18:56

Discomfitting

badguider · 04/04/2013 18:58

sounds like an adrenaline rush??

sort of like a wave of nerves but milder?

BalloonSlayer · 04/04/2013 19:05

I used to get something like an urge to suddenly run off madly.

You know when cats suddenly go "Prr-wow!" jump up and dash around the house like lunatics for no reason?

A bit like that.

My friend used to get it too.

I got it once at Bluewater. Felt like going gallumphing through the mall as fast as my varicose veins could carry me. I didn't though. Wink

Gingerandcocoa · 04/04/2013 19:41

I definitely get that when I'm really tired (and I'm not even pregnant!)

Coleminer · 04/04/2013 21:46

Sounds like abit of anxiety, I also felt abit like this when I had braxton hicks.

afrikat · 04/04/2013 23:18

I got that almost every evening from 7-11 weeks or so, was driving me mad and kept trying to explain it to DH but I just sounded mad! No idea what it was but seems to have stopped now..

babyradio · 04/04/2013 23:29

I think I know what you're talking about, is it almost like a tiny tremor that goes through your whole body and you feel an absolute urge to just MOVE?

Sometimes happens for no reason to me if that sounds about right, has done for years and years.

Onlyconnect · 05/04/2013 16:36

badguider yes it is a bit like a nerve rush but mild. Someone suggested the baby might be lying on a nerve ending and it does feel like that. Last night it was almost constant and I can't relax.
