Ok. I've written various posts on my pg anxiety. I'm really struggling with OCD. I have TWO therapists and I'm still having problems. I'm constantly terrified of getting food poisoning or toxo. I can't eat meat without worrying its not reached the proper temperature to kill the germs/parasites and I even struggle with vegetables as I'm terrified there might be soil on them or they weren't washed properly. DH is currently doing all cooking and getting v frustrated with me and my requests to overlook everything to death. I'm at the point where I'm constantly anxious around food. I lost my sister to anorexia a few years back and it's just bringing back all the memories of how fraught mealtimes used to be.

I'm so stressed :( I could really use a hug right now (even a cyber hug)

Got the book recommended by Gertrude and will be looking into the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course.

I'm a bit like this - had a major panic on Sunday over eating the tiniest bit of chicken my DM had cooked (and DP had checked with a temperature probe for me Blush).

Safe foods for me are : boiled to death eggs,
bananas,
toast but not butter/marg,
peanut butter,
marmite,
chocolate,
Tinned stuff - beans, soups, tinned veg etc.

I used to be anorexic (very!)...

DP is normally very understanding with my anxieties, but at the minute they are sky high and he's finding it very tiring.... (also have contamination and health-infection anxieties. Oh, and I keep thinking I've knocked people down when I've passed them in the car. And other stupid stuff Grin)

Anyway, you are not alone in this, hope you get a handle on it :)
