with DC1 I had bag packed from 30 weeks and in the back of my car. I'm 32 weeks with DC2 and DH mentioned it last night and I thought oh goodness not even thought about that yet! when did you have your bags/ notes etc packed from, I was thinking 37 ish weeks would be fine.

Congratulations sleepyhead Brew & Flowers

I am 31 weeks tomorrow. Baby will arrive by 39 weeks. I've an emergency bag packed now which has bare minimum in, but will have a proper bag packed at 35 ish weeks and the boot of the car bag packed as well from 37 weeks. (Our hospital has a strict policy of one small bag)

I'll be packing mine at 28 weeks this time, went in 'just to be on the safe side' with a suspected UTI at 32 weeks last time (no bag at all as I was expecting them to pat me on the head, say I was just being a drama queen and send me home with antibiotics) and DS arrived a few very short yet incredibly painful hours later. Not getting caught out having to give birth in a hospital nightie with a slit up the back and half the hospital in the room again!

26w both times

DD born at 40+16, DS at 40+1

Congratulations sleepyhead!!

And on that note (at 35+4) I've started buying the things for my bag and have everything except my nighties. That's a start, right? Grin

I packed mine at 29 weeks for me and the baby (so 2weeks ago) as me and dp were away visiting family for the weekend, I left dp with bothbags to put in the car as i was at work all day but he only put mine in,lucky for us that my obsessive worrying that something was going to happen 5 hours from home did not come true and he didn't come clean till we got back! Now both bags are by the door, ready and waiting and everyone who has a key to the house knows where the bags are just in case, they'll go in the boot of the car when I finish work :)

About 39 weeks with DC1 (meant to do it earlier, never got round to it)

About 40 weeks with DC2. I bloody knew I would be days and days over and the bag sitting there would have tormented me!

Last time I packed at 38w (Blush) once they confirmed I was being induced at 38+1. When we turned up at the hospital it looked like we were moving in. We were told induction could take days (in the event DS was born 3 hours after having my waters broken..)

I have a feeling I am going to go early with this one (or maybe that's just wishful thinking, see me going to 42w now I've said this..) so will probably try and have a bag ready by 35w. I don't even remember what's supposed to go in it!
