And I'm halfway through the 1st of 4 13 hour shifts, one after the other. Only early (4+) days but I feel sick, knackered, my memory's appalling, and my job is rather physical, and relies on me retaining information and have fast reactions. How on earth am I meant to keep this to myself?!

I've told the boss, but can't really be moved as there's only 1 'less strenuous' role and my 28-week pregnant colleague is doing that! I'm feeling a little better, just dreading starting all over again tomorrow!

Can that really be how it's left? There's only one suitable role to go round and the other pregnant lady got there first? Aren't there any 'reasonable adjustments' they can make to your role? Sounds a bit barmy to me.

Sorry you're feeling shite, feather. I know the feeling and I don't have to struggle through such a long lot of shifts.
Have they done a risk assessment? It's really important they do one asap after you tell them. On a practical note make sure you're eating little and often.

It is a bit barmy today - I'm a nurse working in the resuscitation room today, so very busy, very fast, very unforgiving!
