Over-due & now the panic starts!

So somehow I've made it all the way to my due date and beyond with out a single worry or apprehension about becoming a mummy to DS1 but now I'm 4days over due & it's seriously kicking in! Excitement is dwindling away & fear is kicking in "what on earth am I doing" & "can I really do this" thoughts are flowing..
Anyone else feel like this, BEYOND their due date???

I've not had too many calls/texts - parents/in laws know they'll get told when there's news. But the ones I get do drive me a bit mad - one friend has been asking, every move we play on Words With Friends, through the chat function. I don't know why she thinks I'd forget to tell her but casually play a move at scrabble!

Just got back from midwife. Had a sweep but once again she couldn't do it properly as cervix only partially effaced. Was 1cm dilated but no idea what this means in terms of when baby will come. Been for an hours walk so back to waiting! 40+8 today.

I have my midwife tomorrow lets hope I'm man enough to go through with the sweep this time lol x

Yes booked in Monday at 11am. Will be two weeks over then. Hoping it happens naturally very soon. I didn't think the sweep was too bad but then again would do anything to try and get it out ha. Good luck!

I'm here in Belfast tinkerbell, Belfast mummy's don't back off lightly I know if me and DH didn't answer phones she would just show up! Also if they start your sweep and it hurts you can make them stop at anytime, don't be afraid to tell them if you need too!

Hopefully the baby will be here before Monday new mum!

Any signs of baby's yet? I had second sweep yesterday was a lot less painful but thinking that might not be a good thing as nothing's happened yet ... Booked in for induction Monday at 7.30am .. Really hope I go before then !!!! x

Still no baby here booked for Saturday for induction but late sat evening so hopefully Sunday baby!! That's good sweep wasn't sore, did the tell u if u were dilated? Or if you still had your plug? X

Yea 1-2cm dilated, very thin cervix & baby at position 0 what ever that means but cervix still posterior, Pretty sure I lost my plug today, (sorry in advance for tmi!!) got out the bath & lost a lot of thick sticky snot like stuff from below, It wasn't stained though but I think that was my mucous plug.. Only thing I've had so far that could resemble it anyway! xx

That's three of us booked for Monday inductions then - I'm at 8.45. Exciting...

Yip sounds like your plug it took mine nearly two days to come away completely.
Here's hoping one of us at least goes on our own! Lol x

Baby Tinkerbell has arrived little boy born yesterday at 1.34pm weighing a whopping 8lb 12oz :O don't know how my size 6 body managed that one but yano! Haha 17 hour labour then a pool birth and I had him in my arms

Baby boy arrived 5.26pm Friday evening weighing in at 8lb 8oz, 17 hour labour also and i have no idea i could carry something so big! Out of hospital this morning, just cant stop staring at him.
Congrats Tinkerbell!They are just amazing!!
