Appointment frequency at 31-34 weeks

I am 31+1, midwife today as I'm away next week. Appt with different midwife at 34+2 as part of a study (but they do all the usual checks) so three weeks. My midwife thinks for first baby that's a bit long and has booked me in for 33+1. I need to come back from holiday early (in the uk, visiting family) for this appt. Very smooth pregnancy so far, no issues with anything. Just wondering if anyone else has three weeks between appt at this stage? Is it an issue?

I'm 32 weeks and I think my appointments are still 4 weeks apart. I had one at 31 weeks-ish and my next one is 34 weeks. its my first and so far a healthy pregnancy. Think they become more frequent after my next one though x

I'm 33+1 with first pregnancy and the last MW appt. I had was 31+2 - the next one is scheduled for 35+2, so I would say 4 weeks is normal at this stage. I believe there will be MW appts at 38, 40 and 41 after that.

I'm 24 weeks but high risk so going weekly but couldn't make this week due to my son having a hospital appointment and they only do appointments one day a week, but just promised to ring if I felt poorly. I wouldn't come back early from holiday for an appointment just make sure you have your notes with you in case. Think the normal is 4 weeks but depends if you've had any issues.

How strange. Its my first pregnancy and I saw a midwife at 28 weeks and will not see them again until I am 34 weeks I thought it was a very long gap to be honest...

It should tell you somewhere in your notes there is a chart showing roughly when to have spots for both first and subsequent pregnancies. I've had a few extra as my midwife tends to put them in but sure it was 28, 32, 36 then 38, 40 and 41. I should get up and look at my notes but too tired to move

Just a quick update. I phoned the local surgery and seen a midwife there. Don't underestimate paranoid mum/mil/husband/extended family when cancelling an appointment!

I wouldn't personally come back early unless you were high risk. You could always see the midwife where you are. I missed an appointment so the last time I saw midwife was about 4 weeks ago (now 34 weeks). I think the frequency increases more towards the end or if one is overdue. All the best :)
