this is probably on wrong discussion page but was wondering... had day 3 egg transfer after icsi cycle.six hours later I had to have a bowel movement.I had to strain to go.there was some pink blood and mucus from my vagina when I wiped.Sorry for details but Im very worried. No blood since. Has anyone else experienced this and gone on to have a successful pregnancy?Or have I ruined everything?im only on day2 now after transfer.

It could be a slight bleed from your cervix after they put the tube in?? It was a while back, but I think they put eggies into the uterus - so they pass the tube through the cervix.

Straining for bowel won't push eggs out, so try to relax - they hopefully nestle in and you'll be pregnant. But watching every symptom can make you stir crazy (not helped by emotional roller coaster).

Fingers crossed for you.

Brings back memories. Straining for a poo Confused won't have caused the bleed. It could have happened for many reasons. Keep busy. All the best of luck to you.

Yes, really common to have a bit a of bleeding at this stage. I had some pink blood - enough to cover but not soak a tampon (sorry if TMI!) on the day of transfer and more about 5 days later. I was pregnant - hope you are too x

It's fine. You can't lose the egg, don't worry! The blood will be a mixture of remnant from the retrieval and irritation from the transfer. It's very normal. Best of luck.

Thankyou for that.Ill just try and relax now and get through the next two weeks.

try to relax as much as you can. Going to the loo will not cause any problems. I know it's easier said than done but do spend the next few weeks relaxing as much as possible. Don't google every last symptom you think you might have. And deco (from experience) don't test early. I did and gave myself more to worry about than I was fretting about in the first place.

Oh, better go - my little icsi miracle just woke up! Had my little 5day blast put back this time last year! :-)

Good luck!
X
