Sounds like it may be piles - can you call out of hours Dr who can advise?

Sounds like haemoroids to me! It's like a varicose vein but in your bum! Nowt to worry about but it'll be itchy I expect and you might need the doc to pop it back into place. Have a google and see if your symptoms match. (I had this when I was pregnant scared the flipping life out of me).

No it is not normal and you must go to your GP tomorrow morning and if it happens again and it gets a lot worse you need to go to A&E.

Okay thanks. I have the midwife tomorrow morning so will talk to her about it and hopefully get an apt with GP :) thanks!

GP tomorrow is probably fine, but if you are losing a lot of blood maybe an out of hours appointement would be best. But don't panic!

How much do you mean by 'a great deal of blood' ?
