18 weeks and feeling run down

Hi

I'm 18 weeks, and just feeling really run down. Tired, with no stamina, and struggling to be enthusiastic about anything. My iron levels were checked at about 8 weeks and were really high (13.1 ?) and they said they doubted if they'd drop enough to give me a problem, and I'm still taking a prenatal vitamin.

Any thoughts? Advice? sympathisers? People told me that when I got past 14 weeks I'd get my energy back!

Yeah people told me that too. They lied. Lol!

I am 23 weeks here and still feeling very run down and also now starting to feel really big.

My only suggestion is try to rest as much as poss, ask for help if you need it and try to take very good care of yourself - eat well, drink lots of water etc etc.

My diet went to pot as was craving loads of super sweet or very salty things only - so fruit and veg went off the menu - very, very bad idea as I then caught a cold which I am still struggling to shift.

Hope you feel better soon.

Oh and try to do a bit of exercise if you can.

I sympathise. I am 17+5 and permanently shattered! Had a lovely lazy weekend but now back at work and day dreaming about bed time. I'm trying to plan fun, low energy things to look forward to before baby arrives. Spa day, lunch with the girls, lazy weekend away in a nice hotel with my husband, keeps me motivated and thinking happy thoughts!

I can sympathise. I am anaemic but I've been really bad the last week...topped off with the most awful cold over the weekend. Went to work and left after an hour as realised I just had no energy and nothing to give. Hope you feel better soon!

I'm still waiting for my energy levels to return at 19+4, I'm not very hopeful.

I do feel better for eating copious amounts of fruit and I'm feeling a bit brighter for having actual visable baby movement (baby definately more energetic than me!).

Sorry you guys are feeling rubbish too, but glad I'm not the only one! Really looking forward to the four day weekend coming up - think I'm just going to try and relax and chill out, and do restful things. Taking time out is not normally my strong point! Rugbugs - I can't wait to feel baby move :)
