Anyone given birth in the UHNS? (North Staffs)

Hi All

Does anyone have any experience in giving birth at the UHNS? I am due to be induced on Wed and have only viewed the facilities at the midwife centre which I won't be able to go to now

Is it possible to get private rooms after the birth instead of going on to the shared wards?

Is this the newish maternity unit, newcastle rd near the keele university you're talking about?

I had dd there 3 years ago and will be going there again in 6 weeks to havethis baby.

It was all in a private room for me. Dont know if this is the nor though but
my experience was I phoned them up saidI was in labor, they told me to come down, went to the room, had baby and stayed in that room till i was discharged 2 days later.
