First trimester terrible skin

Hi I looked in the mirror this morning and was horrified. My chin is covered in acne. Just in week 13 now. Really worried its going to scar. Has anyone else had this? Not using anything because I'm trying to avoid medication and heard salicylic acid can harm the baby. Will it get better in the 2nd trimester? Thanks!

Hi I got this too in the first trimester although I have always gotten acne around that time of the month anyway. You'll be pleased to know mine did clear up and my skin has been better than normal for the most part of this pregnancy. :) Fingers crossed yours will clear up too!

Mine was truly horrific in the first trimester. It even hurt to sleep on it. Got much better in the second. I have put sudocream on it overnight and found that that made a big difference.

Hope it helps you too Thanks

Get yourself a little bottle of wheatgerm oil (loads cheap on eBay), it has a very high vitamin E content and is great to help stop scarring. Rub it on every night before bed, I'm naughty and I always pick my spots, have never had any scarring.

This stuff from Boots is great. Gets rid of spots and oily skin in no time. m.boots.com/mt/www.boots.com/en/La-Roche-Posay-Effaclar-Duo-40ml_1002787/

Oops, stupid link. Google la Roche posay effaclar duo. I hope it's pregnancy safe (I've been slathering it on my chin).
